I wrote the book and after reading it still love it even more...........such a killer story seams like another life....!

I edited Rick Abbott’s book From Beyond the Edge. I did it as a favor after reading a draft copy and realizing that it was a fantastic read. Rick is a natural born writer and story teller. His writing style has the reader feeling they are sitting together in his living room having a cold one. He relates his many adventures, trials and tribulations with an authenticity and openness rarely seen in an autobiography. Not only that, his many adventures absolutely deserve to be called “from beyond the edge”. If you want a first hand account of someone truly living their life to it’s fullest and rolling with the punches life throws his way, by all means get this book.

Come along with Rick Abbott as he takes you out on the Bering Sea during the heyday of Alaskan fishing. Great rewards often come with great risks and only the brave and the insane were usually willing to risk their lives in a serious quest for their fortunes. Usually after a few Months at sea it would become hard to distinguish the brave from the insane. Beyond the adventures on the high seas and on land in and out of Alaska Rick shares a personnel journey of awakening that will truly inspire you to search out your own Angels and might help in charting your own course to adventure and personnel fulfillment.
