Seond one my husband liked it so much. He actually lost the first one. It really supports the back and tummy too.

I recommend sizing up if you’re on the cusp - I bought a L/XL based on the size chart, and it pops open if I bend my torso. I do need to work on my weight, so I’m keeping it for that day when I slim down. In the meantime, since the bellybutton part is detachable, I’ve popped it into my c-section recovery band.

While I was in the hospital for the night after hiatal hernia surgery, one of the nurses suggested I get a belly wrap, because jiggling fat would hurt. I ordered it as soon as I got home, just the ride home from the hospital proved she was right that it would hurt. I had it delivered the next day, and it was immediately helpful. I wore it over a t-shirt so as to not brush against the surgical incisions. I wore it constantly for the first week, and then now and then over the next week. One drawback (and to be honest, I don't see how this could have been avoided) was that it would crease after a bit, and that would hurt. I found if I folded it, and put it under the couch cushion I was sitting on for half an hour or so, it flattened back out. So there was an easy remedy, but I just thought I should mention it. I personally would not have gotten a second one, but if, for example, you had had a hysterectomy, I might think about getting two so you can alternate.

This product doesn't hold my hernia in. My hernia is due to a botched surgery that led to a lacerated bowel, 5 days of sepsis & damage due to the fecal matter. I can have it repaired, but the surgery would take 4 to 6 hours & I'm 79 years old, so not recommended. It really isn't wide enough or strong enough. I've worn it about 5 times & the fabric is beginning to show signs of wear.

Best hernia belt I’ve ever had! Comfortable and easy to take off and put on!

I've been battling the discomfort from a small umbilical hernia and may have another month before surgery. Ordering this belt has changed everything. It keeps all my muscles in that area together. I can now get through days a work comfortably. I rarely leave reviews so I'm telling you....the belt is amazing! The velcro pad is removable if you need to switch up where you want it located. I keep it near my umbilical and it makes my stomach feel normal again. Thank you Thank you

My husband really likes this hernia belt. According to the sizing chart, an XL should have been plenty big enough but he barely has 3" to overlap. The XL is one size larger than his regular size but he could have worn an XXL.

I wish I had gotten this belt before my hernia surgery -- this belt was much easier to put on than the one I received at the hospital, and has a small pillow with hook and loop attachment to place additional pressure on the hernia itself. The belt washes well, and has yet to lose its stretch and original shape (I couldn't say that about the hospital belt). It is also very breathable, and it was comfortable to wear through the summer months.

The five stars says it all. For a couple of years, I had been looking for stomach support of my parastomal hernia. I had tried ALL the ones recommended by stoma nurses and others, all to no real comfort. I saw the Armstrong America Umbilical Hernia Belt on Amazon and considered it. I read through most of the reviews and thought it looked like it could do the job needed... give support and be comfortable to wear. So, I ordered one. It arrived next day (Prime account customer) and I gave it a thorough 'look-over' before attempting to try it on. After the initial 'discomfort' of having something tight around my midriff again, I soon noticed how easy it felt to have it on. After a slight adjustment (velcro resting/rubbing on bare skin) the support and comfort was almost immediate. I decided to wear it for an hour... that 'hour' turned into thirteen (13) hours of absolute comfort and 'discomfort-free' wearing. I almost forgot it was there. The next day, I ordered another in the second colour. yesterday, 27 August 2025 I ordered a third. This allows me to have one on, one drying after washing and the third ready to be worn. Value for money? Yes, without a doubt. Effective? Yes. Durable? Yes again. Fitting? Takes getting used to having the support required with only one item but... yep, it fits like a glove and is very comfortable. (make sure you don't allow those pesky velcro bits rub against your skin) A high recommendation would not give this belt justice. It IS simply the best thing I have ever bought since the surgery that gave me the stoma and hernia. Try it, you will love it.

This product is the best. Comes with a padded donut (removable) to put directly over the herniated area! Makes all the difference between the other 5 I bought elsewhere. Material is a bit scratchy on the skin. Will definitely buy again!
