Paint Thickness Gauge | Digital Meter for Automotive Coating Thickness Gauge Tester | High Contrast Backlight LCD | Resolution 2mils | Auto Power Off | Auto Digital Calibration Data Hold Mini Size

While not a high end paint meter, it's great to have on hand. It's better to check if you should paint polish/ correct automotive paint. No sense in working the paint if it's too thin. Very easy to use and note, it will not work on plastic bumpers.

I have been using the Paint Thickness Gauge for months now, and it has proven to be a reliable tool with no issues. This digital meter is perfect for measuring the coating thickness on automotive surfaces. The high-contrast backlight LCD display ensures easy reading, even in low-light conditions. The gauge provides accurate measurements with a resolution of 2mils, allowing for precise analysis of paint thickness. I appreciate the auto power-off feature, which helps conserve battery life, and the auto digital calibration ensures consistent and accurate readings. The data hold function is handy for capturing measurements, and the compact size makes it convenient to carry around. If you're looking for a dependable paint thickness gauge, this one is a great choice.

I bought this to test paint thinkness on a corvette. It didn’t work. Put it on my other car that has metal panels and it works well.

It is cheap but it will work to measure the coating thickness on the metal part of any car. Buy this affordable tool if you dont have to be perfect 100%. Very useful to check out the used cars you would like to buy, guys do this before bring the car to your mechanic for a final inspection.

Arrived with a completely dead battery. (Look at the “empty” battery icon). The unit shuts off after 5s.

Only reads in increments of .05 or exact mils. Which is not very good for use on customer vehicles. Only bought it because I was in a tight spot and needed one asap. Will be retiring it for a trustworthy gauge instead.

Great for every day use and entry level collector. I don't need a 500 dollar meter to know it a car is wrecked or not. If you are inspecting million dollar Ferraris, get the big one, but for sub 100K car this one does the job great for 20 bucks

It works very well very happy

This is a complete scam. It only costs one dollar, but they sell it for...

I use these at work so was interested to see the quality of this comapred to much alrger , professional paint guages. this unit is compact, very sturdy and incredibly accurarate when checked against other professional guages so it is very relaible. This isn't the sort of thing you would just buy of the self, so you would agve a basic understanding of how this works but not all guages are the same so do ensure you read the manual, while this appears basic and straight forward the instructions are very indepth and concise. Excellent value for money and has multiple uses on steel and aluminium , I have tested this on caurs/vans etc especially after pain jobs professional and personal and itr really does give peace of mind. Great addition with the carry case so you can hook it onto you belt which saves time.

It works most of the time. Overall nice product
