Perfect parts for my gardening needs. Worked well.

Used them on 1/2 inch soaker hoses. When your soaker hoses get stopped up and stop working just go down through there and bend them around to flex them a little bit right by the plants you want to water. It will start dripping in that spot and not the entire length of the hose. Its almost better than a new hose. That's a free tip.

its made good but I do not like the clamps ends stick out.

easy to use once you find the right product, need more info about product so you do know which kit to buy!!!!!! Other wise a hassle to return etc, frustrating....

High quality at a reasonable price. I installed 2 of them with no problem on some 1/2 inch soaker hose and there were no leaks at the fittings at all.

I received these – a great deal . However there is plenty of surplusage when used with a 1/2 inch barb. They are too small, may be up to to 2-3mm in excess to fit a 1/2" barb. Outside of that, they seem to be well made, include a rubber washer and have 4 different tightening threads, 2 which you can tighten without a tool and 2 with which you can with a wrench. With thin silicon tube and a tight clamp, you may get by without leakage, but with thicker hose material, you may experience leaking . Shrunk the hose barb.. . badddd. UPDATE: If you tighten the hose clamps before use each time, it stops the leaking issue: So I’d give this four stars.

Also used plumbers tape to make sure there were no leaks when connecting an old hose to the connectors.

The quality of the brass castings is EXCELLENT. The machining is precise on both the threads and the barbs. I particularly like the two which are designed to be wrench tightened. They are easier to attach by hand than are the gnarled ones designed for hand tightening. Those gear clamps are the downside of this kit. They protrude when tightened and are sharp on the hands. Caution! I threw them out and used ear clamps instead. Purchasers with an ear clamp kit should use it. Ear clamps work so much better - so much kinder on your hands.
