Assortment of springs were well packaged in hard, compartmentalized container for easier selection. Although specs did not say "made of steel", material used is of high quality. It takes A fair amount of force to cut it ( using a wire cutter ) so it must be made of steel. Stretching a few, they showed good tension/compression. Overall, I'm satisfied with its quality & affordable Price with sufficient assortment of sizes for various applications.

Price was fair for what they were

I got a guitar stand for free, because a spring had broken. I ordered this set, and sure enough, it had the right spring, and I have a nice guitar stand. The variety is great, and they seem to hold up. I wouldn’t use them to fix the brakes on my car, but for household tasks, this is a good set.

This is a wonderful assortment of small springs both compression and expansion. The handle to my fence gate is spring operated and the spring that came with it kept popping off. I replaced it with one of these about 6 six weeks ago and it hasn't popped off once. Most of the springs are fairly lightweight but perfect for a multitude of household uses. Update: 5/8/15 The spring I installed on the fence gate when the original review was written is still on and working well.

I needed some springs to make a DIY fix in my kitchen. I bought recessed lighting fixtures that came with their own springs. However, those springs were either too long or didn’t support the weight of the fixtures. Ergo, I needed springs. I purchased this box because, hey, who couldn’t use a bunch of different springs? You never know. I found plenty of tiny springs with enough tension to do the job. They were coiled at each end so I did have to snip them to fit my application. If you’re looking for hooked springs, this box doesn’t have them. It does have a wide variety of springs, just not exactly everything one might need. For the price, you can make just about anything work. Other than that, the only downside is the box is a bit flimsy. And if you happen to open it and the dividers fall out, you’ll be spending a lot of time putting it all back together. So use with caution. I give this product three stars because I’ll more than likely look elsewhere when I need another box of springs, but again for the price, it’s not a bad deal.

I needed some replacement springs for my rodent trap. I didn’t know what size and for the price. This was the most bang for the buck.
