Hammered Copper Shaving Bowl, Shave Mug/Cup

Beautifully made bowl! The quality is excellent and made from thick copper!Unfortunately, as other reviewers have pointed out, the handle is it's only downfall. They did such a wonderful job on the bowl, why stop there? The handle, approximately 2mm thick by 1cm wide copper bar stock, is nicely curved. Its braised in place, but they left the factory edge untouched. It's nowhere near sharp enough to cut, but sharp enough to be uncomfortable. It gives the impression they forgot to finish the job. Even more so due to the fine job they did with the bowl! The large contrast detracts from the overall quality.I won't be sending it back because the bowl's quality is top notch! I'll just have to finish their work by rounding the handle's edge with my Dremel.What they should've done was to give the bar's edge a quick pass with a grinder or belt sander before bending and attaching it to the bowl. Maybe they thought the short time it takes to finish off the edge saved them some labor costs? I'd say that's negligible compared to bad customer reviews!

I like the idea of scuttles...and I don't. Keeping lather warm is very nice, but I've never purchased one because they seem to all be made out of porcelain or some other easily breakable material. I don't want to have to be super careful with now nicely I set something down in my sink, and I honestly think it would detract from the experience. Luckily, this copper bowl solves the problem. Transfers heat extremely well, and it you drop it, it doesn't break apart. There are "bumps" on the inside of the bowl to help build a lather. Easy to clean too.

This is a handmade, heavy gauge copper cup that is finished very well. The handle is heavy bar stock and the edges on mine had been polished smooth. The handle is brazed to the cup as it is copper and not steel. The joints are very well done and polished. Overall, this is comparable workmanship to my Ruffoni copper kitchen pots at a fraction of the cost. I am sure this will be the last shaving cup I ever have to purchase.

It gets a nice patina if you like. Is large enough for most soap pucks.

Beautiful quality and generous size. If you like to bowl lather and also like the larger Omega pro series brushes, you will love this bowl. The hammered texture really helps to generate a huge quantity of lather, and floating it in a sink full of warm water for just a minute warms it right up. The fact that it's stunning doesn't hurt my feelings either.

I'm sure you'll love this copper mug during shaving. I fill it with hot water to start; when it's time to put a dab of shaving cream in, the cream gets very warm. It's the best shaving cream mug I've ever had. Brian Bennett

Nice addition to my shaving gear! Just like someone sad the handle has a pointed edge but could be fixed with a little sand paper or small file. It's made very well thick gage copper.

Nice but the handle is just flat bar stock soldered on with sharp edges. They should have at least filed these sharp corners.
