FINALLY! I have a lenovo laptop for work. I have a different lenovo laptop for personal use. My old dock was a thunderbolt 3 and with the latest teams update on my work laptop my audio would cut out when I could screen share on teams. I also noticed suddenly the keyboard and mouse got wonky on registering activity. well turns out my old doc was just dying. that's all there was to it. so I bought an expensive $$$$$ lenovo universal dock. and then all of a sudden the 2nd monitor would not display no matter WHICH laptop was plugged in. Updated drivers. Updated firmware. Power cycled. Nope. Returned. Bought another off brand dock. Monitor would work with my personal lenovo laptop but not with my work laptop. WTF am I going insane here? What happened to plug and play. Returned. Bought another off brand and now the speakerphone for conference didn't work. Bought a new conference speaker phone (which I was going to do anyways) but it still didn't work and it wouldn't charge if I hot plugged in. Returned. Bought this dock. FINALLY EVERYTHING WORKS! NO ONE BREATHE! Although admittedly now the SD card is stuck in the SD card slot.. and I fear I may need a pair of pliers later to resolve that issue.. so maybe the SD slot is not okay.It's 135w power supply that comes with the dock (nice for the price!)the USB Ports all work and there is one on the front for your keyboard/mouse - the rest are on the back.it's quiet. Anker is good about not having whining USB ports. So if you're one of those that thinks you have tenitus all the time because your electronics whine... you'll appreciate that their USB ports do not.HDMI port works!!!!!! So if you're using an old school cheap a$$ monitor that doesn't have Display Port Tech, you're good still.Power button is a nice touch because now you can power off the dock which will turn the external display off and any additional devices that have lights will turn off also.. so if you're home office is in your bedroom, this is a value add for you.It is compact enough to travel with but it's more block or brick style than slim pocket style.Rubber slip pad on the bottom is a nice touch to keep the power cord from pulling it off the back of your desk when you're not looking.Ethernet port also worksOh and my USB Hub extension that's plugged into the dock also seems to be working just fine although it has it's own external power supply so if you're daisy chaining just keep in mind you may need more than one power supply here.

I wanted to get rid of my desktop and just use a laptop. I'm used to using a desktop at home and wanted to keep using my external keyboard, mouse, and two large monitors when I'm home. I bought an Asus laptop that is fast and has lots of storage. With this docking station, it works perfectly for me.I keep the monitors, keyboard, and mouse plugged into the Anker docking station. I have one USB-C cable that connects to my laptop. This one cable charges the laptop and connects it -- via the docking station -- to the monitors, keyboard, and mouse.When I travel, I unplug the one USB-C cable and I'm ready to go. When I return, I plug in the one USB-C cable, turn on my docking station and monitors, and I'm up and running as a desktop.I tried a cheaper docking station (LIONWEI USB C Hub) first. It mostly worked but required two USB-C cables (one to charge the laptop, one to connect to the docking station) and it was not stable. It would often glitch out and require me to reconnect or reboot.The Anker docking station has been very solid and, in 4 months has never glitched out or required any type of rebooting.Pro tip: I also use an "aucun Magnetic USB C Adapter" for the USB cable. This connects via a magnet so I don't even have to plug and unplug the USB cable, I just pull off the magnet.

**UPDATE** Now my rear USB port has died--the only one of two standard ports that didn't hiccup and glitch. This thing worked FAIR (front USB port always glitchy) for about a year and a half--MINUS any Mac capacities--and now is essentially an aftermarket power brick. The combination of misrepresented functionality (no Mac support despite showing Mac use), faulty design (front USB unreliable, irregular power supply to dual monitors), and poor reliability (multiple ports and functions dead within 18 months) have serious undermined my former respect for this brand.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.(ORIGINAL REVIEW:)Disappointing.First, it was not clear to me when I purchased this that it would not allow me to extend screens from my MacBook. There is now a slide that shows that all Mac screens will be identical. It’s possible I missed that a year and a half ago at purchase, but I think I would have noticed. In any case, claiming this is Mac compatible is inane. I don’t know anyone who purchases a docking hub so they can see 3+ screens of the SAME THING.Mac users, beware.I was willing to attribute that to careless comparisons on my part—partly based on a very high opinion of Anker in general. BUT unfortunately the problems do not end there.Though there are two standard USB ports, the way in which this device is wired makes it difficult to use them. If I place my keyboard dongle in the front USB port, and insert a flash drive into the USB-C port next to it, there is suddenly an irregular lag to my mouse movements. I cannot work all day with my mouse lagging.Of course I can move the dongle to the rear of the unit, but now my printer cable is projecting from the front and that’s the whole point of having rear USB ports. In short, why design the ports in a way that they interfere with each other?ANOTHER ISSUE is flickering in my monitor screen sometimes. I looked online and the only solution I found is turning down the refresh rate because “60 Hz on each screen is a lot for the hub to handle”. I thought 60 Hz was pretty much standard so again I’m not sure why a device would be advertised as handling up to three screens if two was going to tax it. This problem also seems intermittent but it ought to happen never.LASTLY, just this past week, the device suddenly can no longer extend more than one screen on my Windows work computer. I’ve tried two computers and multiple cables but whatever I do Windows will not recognize that I have two monitors attached and allow me to extend them. Both monitors are actually live and connected but show the same image, so somehow the hub has lost the ability to differentiate between them.Now the hub is useless. I have disconnected my second monitor from the hub and connected it directly to my laptop. I have actually moved my keyboard/mouse dongle and attached it directly to the laptop as well. This removes all purpose for having a hub at all. And again, this is for my Windows work computer—my MacBook has all these issues but would not extend screens even when the hub was fully functional.I bought this because I had faith in the Anker brand and because it was slightly less expensive than the hub Apple promoted on its website. I regret this purchase. Now I have a $150 hub that combines only two of the five cable connections I connect and disconnect every time I move my computer from work to home.Very, very disappointed. Pay more to get a better and more reliable product.

Works as advertized! Returned a different brand that didn't work (bad HDMI port to monitor). ANKER Dock works great out of the box. Plenty of power to support monitor and speaker. Compact clean looks and easy setup.

I was caught off guard when it didn't.If you're a Mac user planning to run two external displays, please double-check compatibility before purchasing. I have had no issues running this with my work laptop HP Laptop running Windows 10 and my Dell Inspiron 17 running Ubuntu 20.10/Windows 10. Both laptops charge, and all ports seem to work well. In general, the worst part of the USB-C format is the confusing amount of different laptops that seem to implement it in different ways. Not this product's fault; as I said, it works well with Dell and HP while my HP Laptop dock runs with both laptops, but under Ubuntu or Windows 10 on my Dell, it falls short. The HP Dock is a Thunderbolt dock, and my Dell is a Display port marked with a DP; the DP Port on my Dell does charge and allows all ports to work with this dock. I mention it because USB-C gets confusing, and mileage may vary depending on the laptop itself. My Hp is marked as Thunderbolt, and my Dell as Display Port, and this product runs wonderfully with both. I found I could get a 4k Display using the DP port on the back of the dock in Ubuntu, but I found it a little problem some and instead switched to using the two HDMI ports instead. Sometimes 4k would flicker, but that can be my older KVM Switch (1080P KVM). I don't mind the two 1080p screens as the dock makes it so easy to switch computers. I wonder why the HDMI port only seems to pump out 1080P and the display port 4k from my experience. Still, my HP dock didn't do 4k at all, so this dock outperformed it. I have even booted my Dell and HP Laptops with a live USB of MX Linux, and with no configuration, it worked. I just changed the display settings a bit.So to sum it up.1) Easy to use - NO Drivers to install!2) Works across Windows and Linux.3) Affordable and better than my work HP Thunderbolt dock.4) Works with USB-C marked PD or Thunderbolt.Finally, I would like to say the PD port can get confusing another port format for USB-C. At first, I thought it did not work as I plugged in USB-C devices, and it was not recognized. Then I upgraded to a new Samsung phone with USB-C PD charging support, and it charged and was recognized from the PD port on the dock. So the device has to support USB-C PD. As I said, USB-C is confusing. Now, what are you waiting for? Buy this best Dock on Amazon; it is excellent for Windows and, more importantly, great with Linux. If you have Thunderbolt, the big thing you get from a Thunderbolt dock is the quicker data transfer speeds, but you need to know your laptop supports it. For me, I don't care about my work laptop having maximum data transfer speed. As I said, Thunderbolt does work with this also from what I can tell.1/26/2024 - I am updating this because I also wanted to note that this works great with the Surface Pro 7. The only exception is the built in wired network does not seem to get recognized, but I don't care. I am using WIFI anyway. So Sound, video, and all other devices work perfectly.

I’ve owned multiple Anker docks over the years and purchased this as an upgrade from a lower‑end Anker model I used daily for nearly five years. That older dock was dependable for basic use, but it never consistently handled a 4K monitor, especially when switching between machines.This 13‑in‑1 dock is in a completely different class.I’m using it with both a MacBook Pro and a Windows work PC, running multiple external monitors, and it’s been rock‑solid on both platforms. 4K output is stable, displays reconnect properly after sleep, and I no longer have to tweak settings or reseat cables. It simply works the way a dock should.Build quality feels premium, the port selection covers most real‑world needs, and performance matches the specifications. This feels designed for people with serious desk setups, not just occasional use.One small con: I’d love to see one or two additional USB‑C ports for accessories and charging, especially given how many newer peripherals have moved to USB‑C. That said, it hasn’t been a deal‑breaker in daily use.Overall, this is a meaningful upgrade from older or budget USB‑C docks. Based on long‑term experience with Anker products, this one delivers exactly what it promises.

The docking station worked pretty well right out of the box. A few observations:1. The instructions, as many do now, are in multiple languages and a very small part was applicable. The key diagram and explanatory table were buried among all the other text, but it would have been helpful to have that information at the very top of the instructions, rather than in the middle of multiple languages.2. I have an HP Spectre 360, and the charging function of the docking station is variable, i.e. sometimes it charges, sometimes it does not. I have to check periodically to make sure it's charging, otherwise I risk using all the battery reserve. It's a relatively minor issue and perhaps due to the detection by the computer of a non-HP power source.3. Update: I had 2 HDMI monitors and a third was connected through a USB expansion device with an HDMI port. Decided to try using the display port instead of the USB expansion device, and when I plugged the third monitor into the display port using a converter cable for DP to HDMI, one of the other monitors would not show. No matter what combination I used, if I plugged the third monitor into the DP port, only 2 would show. So, I plugged my USB expansion device back in and voila! All three monitors showed again. I couldn't find any documentation online regarding this issue, so I have to assume that using the DP port along with the two HDMI ports negates one of the three. Interesting, but it decreases the score.Overall, the device is still a nice addition to my desk. Prior to now, I had a number of USB hubs strung together with a mass of wires like a bowl of spaghetti, so the docking station with multiple ports is a definite improvement.

This is for the "Anker Docking Station, PowerExpand 13-in-1 USB-C Dock, 85W Charging for Laptop"** Update March 9th, 2023 **So pretty much everything in the original review stands, but there is one issue that I touched on originally about the display refresh rate and resolution that I can clarify now.To get the resolution how you want it, you need to set the monitors to the same refresh rate first, then once the resolution is set and applied, change the refresh rate. That being said, I'm not sure if the refresh rate actually changes or if it just says it does.** End of update **So I just got this about an hour ago, and everything just worked! Both in Ubuntu 22.04 and Windows 10.Here's my setup. Everything is plugged into the dock and only the single USB-C dock cable is plugged into the laptop.Laptop: Dell XPS 13 93701TB SanDisk USB-C SSD (for booting into Ubuntu)2x Monitors + laptop monitor (One monitor is Ultra Wide 2560x1080 144Hz, other is 1080p 60Hz)- Note: I'm using one DP port and one HDMI portWireless keyboard/mouseSpeakersEthernet connection for InternetFirst of all, I was using a Dell TB16 dock before this but I had multiple issues with it. Long story short, I don't recommend the Dell docks, especially if you use Linux.** Long story about Dell TB16 Dock **Using the Dell dock, my monitor would randomly go out, and the network only connected at 100mbps, the soundcard is super quiet (even at max volume), it's always on and can get noisy when it heats up (it has a fan), the cable is built into the unit (non-replaceable) and is only about a foot and a half long (coming out of the left side of the unit) and the unit itself is rather large. Also, I boot off a USB-C SSD drive for Linux (which allows me to plug the USB SSD into almost any computer and boot into my Ubuntu OS); For whatever reason, I could never get it to show up as a boot option when plugged into the dock, even with ThunderBolt boot support and pre-module stuff enabled.** End of the Long story about Dell TB16 Dock **Now the Anker dock on the other hand is about a 1/4 of the size of the Dell dock, connects @ 1GB with no problem, allows me to boot off my USB-C SSD, has a power button to turn it off when not in use, it's silent, works without having to install any drivers on either Windows or Ubuntu, comes with a decently long USB-C cable (3 ft?) to plug into the computer (which can also be replaced and yes it charges my laptop too) and the sound volume is great.There is one oddity that happened, but I was able to fix it easily enough and it's likely not a problem with the dock but a software issue in Ubuntu. When changing the resolution + refresh rate in Ubuntu, it didn't properly scale the resolution (the resolution was right, but much of it was cut off or shrunk down as if the monitor itself didn't change resolutions but the computer did), I had to change the resolution + refresh rate to something else, then to what I wanted to make it work. To be clear, it worked when I plugged it in initially, but changing it to my preference required multiple changes to set it in properly. Once set, it worked as normal.I highly recommend this dock!

Zero issues with this versatile dock as it replaced a Belkin hub which was virtually cluttering up my desk. All of the cords run out the back of the unit including ones for an external monitor (HDMI), printer, external hard drive and power cord for my Windows 11 laptop. I only have a Bluetooth dongle for a mouse plugged into the front. Very clean look and I love the fact that there are two SD card slots and two additional USB C ports out front for charging devices. I snagged this puppy while it was on sale which was a bonus.

It worked well for several months, charging my laptop and running my dual-monitor setup without any issues.Unfortunately, the dock developed what appears to be an internal hardware failure while still under warranty. It stopped charging my laptop properly, and my monitors constantly disconnected and reconnected.To rule out every other possibility, I purchased an Anker Prime 14-in-1 Docking Station using the exact same laptop, monitors, cables, and power outlet. The new dock worked perfectly immediately, confirming that the original 13-in-1 dock was defective.What turned this into a one-star review was not the product failure itself. Electronics can fail. It was the warranty experience. I have spent over a week providing proof of purchase, completing troubleshooting, answering repeated requests, and following up multiple times. The process has been slow, confusing, and frustrating, with incomplete return instructions and unnecessary delays.I expected Anker to stand behind its warranty. Instead, I have had to escalate my case and file a Better Business Bureau complaint in an effort to have my warranty honored.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product. A good warranty experience is just as important as a good product, and unfortunately Anker has fallen well short of my expectations.
