Penn-Plax Deco-Replicas Bonsai Tree Aquarium Decoration – Orange – Safe for Freshwater and Saltwater Fish Tanks – 8” Height

I received my wave runner today via USPS which kinda surprised me as I’m used to UPS. It had a crunch on the outer box but was undamaged. This is some piece. It is beautifully colored in brown with yellow and dark red highlights. The sails are a brushed gray. I didn’t think I’d like the bottom dark blue and white waves but I do. It adds another color palette for plants and is whimsical. My grandkids will love it and are the crew on my ship. My 75 gallon tank has a footprint of 48” by 18” so there is room for the Penn Plax granite set for cichlids I plan to have. The ship has eleven places where fish can swim through including the sails and beams. Some thing that is lacking it in the red white and green sets per at least one reviewer of those. The tank is 21” high so it looks great when placed on a couple inches of sand. It does!! As far as value, I saw some ships with cloth sails I liked better at Petsmart but at a higher price. And they have others as well which are in a similar price range as the runner by a different manufacture. Worth looking at. Based on the water level of my tank, there were concerns about the size of the one I liked best. And cloth would probably not have a good result over time in a aquarium setting given algae, gunk and what not. Upon execution I don’t believe I could have done any better than the wave runner. Stunning. The wave runner is a great deal at $45. I was concerned about the reviewer(s) that warned of toxic paint flaking so I called their customer service. Their sole rep said paint is fish safe and the vessel is then coated to avoid flaking. She said at least one of the complaints came from someone who used bleach on it. I’m convinced by her since otherwise Penn plex would have big trouble with their whole line of ornaments. Regarding the smell, I gave mine a good rinse. I am not overly concerned since carbon chemical filtration will remove chemical compounds. Don’t smell anything though. The last picture shows the TopFin hideaway structures I needed for my cichlids. These are available at Petsmart. I purchased these rather than the Penn Plax set because of the prep work needed for those and apprehension regarding the sizing. It took two minutes to sand sharp places off the TopFins and it a very close match to the ship. I saw a YouTube of using plasti dip I want to pass on. You can paint the back of your aquarium with it and skip the backgrounds. It’s rubber-like, cheap, available in multi colors, and comes off easily if you want to change it up later. Kinda excited about it. It worked well and certainly find black obscures all the necessary filtration tubes, heater and the like in the tank. Note it yields a flat black! You can’t go wrong with this ship. It’s wonderful. Best Regards,

This tree looks beautiful in my tank. Heavy enough that it doesn’t float to the top, so performance is covered. The leaves sway in the water it’s so peaceful. The orange is light and bright and dark in a few places. It’s a great size too. Great price for the quality of the product. Seems to be pretty durable. I rinsed it very well before putting in my tank and there was no color bleed. Very happy with my purchase.

We have this in our 55 gallon tank. It looks very impressive. I could have gone up a size, but it would be a tight fit. It is pretty heavy, so you don't have to worry about it floating. It works well, is durable and doesn't smell like anything. The only thing I didn't like was it was so tightly packed in Styrofoam, little pieces kept floating around in the water. This was after thoroughly rinsing it off.

The ship is perfect for my 75 gallon acrylic show tank and it looks great! The colors are sharp and it is well made. The ship components are all the same. No sail fabric. Everyone asks me "where did you get that ship?" My tank top access is 17L x 7w inches and at first glance makes you question if the ship can get into the tank. It does because the design accommodates different tank openings and you have to twist and turn the ship when placing into the tank. The ship is in 4 parts - 2 ship pieces and 2 sail pieces. The ship is large so confirm it fits the inside of your tank. Ship size 26.5L x 9W x 19.75H inches. My tank size 48L x 15w x 24h inches. This is my second decor item from Penn Plax and I am very satisfied. Ahoy Matey!

The grandkids love the aquarium even more with the pirate ship. The fish love it too! This life meet my requirements for a beautiful feature in the aquarium that didn't have big holes and gaps that hide the fish or hide algae growth. It's the right size for my 36 gallon tank. My office Zoom meetings are probably more interested in watching the fish tank over my shoulder! 😉

Gold penn-plax awesome. Replica, Annette 10 million dollars like that stupid Titanic when I bought that the piece of crap. Really really cool ship and it actually has some red on the beacons and it must be glow paint because I have multiple types of LED lights and all my tanks and when you hit the blues them lights light right up on the ship really cool ship detailed immensely actually garnica was on and it actually has Chinese writing on it. So that indicates to me that it was an enemy ship perhaps when we were at war with an I guess. I don't know. I'm not a historian. But in any event don't float your boat in our waters. Are you going my aquarium? Follow? ? A RGH mateys buy this boat. It's really really cool. It's about nine inches long. And depending how you place it in your tank about 4 inches high really cool and definitely underpriced don't tell Bezos.

I bought this tree for an aquarium I was setting up for my kids. It's a 10 gallon tank that has dimensions of 20L x 10W x 12H. This looked good from the photos on Amazon, and the kids thought it looked pretty, so I ordered it. However, what I received was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the tree is definitely 8" high as it reads in the description. With 1" of gravel at the bottom, this tree very nicely fills a 10 gallon tank, leaving just about 3 inches from the treetop to the waterline. It really is perfect for that size tank. From a distance, it does look quite nice in the tank, and the fish seem to enjoy swimming around it. The tree itself had no dirty residue or any loose particles when I unboxed it and washed it off before placing it in the tank. On the negative side, there are four problems. First, the tree was enclosed within a box that was entirely too small for it. Because of this, some of the branches are bent out of shape and still haven't straightened out four days after unboxing as I write this. Second, the leaves are more of a light orange color in the center surrounded by an edge of yellow, and not at all reddish as they appear in the photos here on Amazon. Third, the photos here show that the pots at the bottom are a clay brown color and the tree trunk is a dark brown. In reality both are almost the same shade of brown. Fourth, the tree trunk looks to have been epoxied onto the pot it's growing out of and on mine there was a lot of stray clear epoxy that I had to trim away because it had run well beyond the tree trunk itself. Overall, it looks decent from a distance, but you see problems when you get up close, and the coloring isn't quite what the photos show here. For a budget aquarium it's not bad at all considering the price, but I probably wouldn't get it if you're trying to set up more of a showpiece aquarium.

I was pleasantly surprised that the bottom of the ship was a vibrant blue color . It’s heavy enough to sink but not add a lot of weight to your tank. I have it in a 55 gallon tank and it takes up one third of the tank I don’t like spending so much on tank decor but this is totally worth it.
