I'm a bit of a coffee snob. I lived in Hawaii for a time, where I was able to get fresh Kona coffee in burlap sacks right from the source. I lived in Seattle for several years and coffee is a big deal there. I have had a horrific time finding coffee since I last had to move. It's been years since I've had good coffee.I LOATHE k-cups. I never had a good one (until now). All the so-called good brands have been terrible. Most are either too weak and can't make enough at a time or are bitter and acidic. Sometimes both. Most people can't tell the difference between "rich" coffee and BITTER coffee (here is a hint: cheese cake is rich, Mt. Dew is sweet - there is a similar difference between "rich" and "bitter" coffees) and so I hear rave reviews about garbage coffee (I'm looking at you, mermaid fans). I like good black coffee, but most I've found I usually have to use 2 k-cups at a lower water setting and then smother it in flavoring, cream, and sugar to get my caffeine.Where I work does not allow ANY exposed heating elements - no hotplates, coffee pots, toasters, or any other worthwhile culinary device. So work coffee is bring your own K-Cups (companies used to supply coffee, what's with these cheap SOBs?). I've tried a dozen brands trying to find a worthwhile k-cup, with no success UNTIL NOW.The blue horse makes a very good 8-10oz cup of rich, but not bitter, black coffee. Maybe my palate has gone to waste. Maybe my standards have dropped after living in the post-Starbucks coffee Apocalypse, but from what I can tell, this is quite good. It's not as good as living there, but it reminds me of what real coffee is supposed to taste like. It's expensive, but if you're a coffee snob stuck living somewhere that Red Lobster is considered "fine dining" this stuff is probably the best k-cup you're going to get.I plan on ordering some of the Blue Horse beans for home use to see how it turns out.

This is really one of the best coffee's I have ever tasted. It truly tasted just like the coffee I enjoyed when I was in Kona Hawaii. Only downside, the price of this coffee is unusually high. It would be so fantastic if this coffee was offered in larger quantities at a little more reasonable price. Because it is so expensive, I will only be able to order it for special occasions.

There were more positive reviews than negative, so i purchased this and don't regret it. We were buying green mountain, so maybe our standards arent as high as yours, but this was an upgrade. Major difference and better smelling and tasting coffee. It has a smokey taste, which is nice.

Very nice flavor but probably too mild for someone who prefers stronger coffee. My wife enjoys it as she usually likes her coffee very light. Although I definitely appreciate the very nice Kona flavor, and feel that for the price, this brand is a good value, its hard for me to enjoy because I tend to like my coffee more like rocket fuel. I am going to try adjusting the ratio of water to coffee and using two pods to see if that yields what I'm looking for. But if you enjoy a mild, fragrant Kona, I think this brand is definitely worth trying. Also, for what its worth, it is boxed in a very nice package, much more elaborate and attractive than the standard design that most Keurig pods come in. Very desirable should you decide to give this as a gift.

Very good coffee, not acidity. Rather expensive but I knew that when I ordered. Would like a little cheaper brand but not the blended ones. 100% or nothing.

Only 9 in a box of 10. The 9 were very good. The box was sealed good on the top. Looks like was opened on the side? It was shipped in a heavy brown paper bag. I didn’t notice anything wrong till I opened the box. Guests expected in a week. Will try to order more.

I was very disappointed with this coffee. It is very expensive but I decided to splurge on myself. Having lived in Hawaii for some months I loved Kona coffee. This so-called Kona I have received is terrible! It has no aroma when brewing or in the cup. The taste is very stale and some some strange off flavor.Perhaps it is a vendor storage problem or other problem. These are sealed K cups. The use by date is 4/26/2024 As I waited a few weeks before using any I am now past the return date so have to eat the cost and toss these out. I will not buy them again.I wish to add an update here. I contacted Blue Horse and reported that the coffee was basically undrinkable. Blue Horse answered me almost immediately , apologized for the coffee that was bad, and offered a full refund or replacement. I have chosen replacement. They also said that they have no control of the conditions it was kept in or exposed to while being handled by Amazon. Blue Horse is very responsive and easy to work with. Once I get the replacement coffee I will add more here.UPDATE: The grower sent me, free of cost, one box directly from Hawaii. This turns out to be great coffee just as I remember it from my times in Hawaii. I have changed my rating to 5 stars.

This is the most delicious coffee I have tasted in a long time. Highly recommend this coffee to any coffee lover looking for great flavor.
