Great Product, Small Size when fully collapsed
This is a great product, hard to use when grabbing ball on softer ground (i.e. primarily when using at longer lengths). As you extend the ball catcher it becomes very thin and more fragile which is why some people have broken their ball catcher in other reviews.... When fully extended, it becomes not only more fragile but harder to activate the spring since it's more difficult to apply the pressure needed to active spring and you could potentially break the ball catcher. Final Thoughts: 1) You'll mainly use this up to 10 ft in length and it works very well, the only time you'd use the full length is when you grab a ball in the woods since you cannot see anything in the water 14ft away 2) When fully extended, it is very fragile since the shaft gets incredibly thin (thinner than a pencil) so I advise anyone who purchases this to only use it for the first 10ft or so (do not use the thinner shaft to prevent it from breaking, it's harder to activate catcher at longer lengths 3) It is super compact and an excellent product

Great retriever
I have tried a few other retrievers borrowed from friends but after reading up on these I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did, the design is simple and very effective. The size is great because it fits in the long side pocket of my bag so it does not interfere with my clubs, yet it extends nicely to reach way out there. I will say at the longest extension it feels a bit less rigid but That is to be expected. One thing you may not know is that the retrieve mechanism will work even if it has already tripped, the ball will still slide into the capture portion of the head, which is nice. And once the ball is in it, it will NOT fall out. The only word of caution I will give is that water will hold inside the arm, which in turn can lead to an unpleasant smell, and I have had to fully extend it and let it dry for a day or 2 but to me that is no issue.

It's Too Easy...
Quite simply, the best ball retriever ever. What a brilliant design. I've been golfing for over 30 years and tried many retrievers in my day, this is the best design I've ever used. Granted, you don't want to admit you're fishing golf balls out of a lake, but let's face it, we've all been there. Looking at your brand new Pro V1 under water, just out of reach, time is running out, you attempt to scoop it with your putter to no avail, your $5 ball is history. BUT NOW, you are secretly armed with a new weapon, IGotcha is hidden your bag, you bust it out, and within seconds your lost wet Pro-V is back in play! It's that easy. Like shooting golf balls in a barrel. Great reach if you really need to get down and dirty, and easy to execute. Super light weight, folds up well and easy to hide in your bag. And if you're on a solo mission and come across a ball filled pond with no one around...time to load up your bag with wounded soldiers! Don't tell anyone I bought this, OK?

It DOES fit in your bag!
I really wanted a retriever that would fit in my bag and yet have a decent reach. This product has definitely met both requirements. The retriever is very compact and seems to be built really well. The grip is a tacky rubber material so you won't have to worry about it slipping out of your hand and the 14' reach is really a long reach. The retriever mechanism works well and after a few rounds at my course (where there's a good amount of water), I'm definitely on my way to paying for this product. A few things that keep this from being a 5 star product include the fact that as compact as this thing is, it's fairly heavy. If I'm walking a course, I don't think I'd put this in my bag. It weighs about 1.5 to 2 irons worth of clubs. It probably wouldn't be all that sturdy if they made it lighter, but it's something to consider. Secondly, at the fully extended reach, there is definitely a loss of stability. In otherwords, the sheer length and weight of the retreiver will cause the extended pole to droop. IF the ball your trying to reach is lodged into something difficult, you may have a hard time getting the ball into the retriver mechanism. I expect this to be the same with any other long retriever, but I don't know for sure since this is the first retriever I've owned. Finally, the last concern I have is regarding the retriever mechanism itself. There is a small spring that causes the retriever to collapse over a ball. It works well, but should that small spring break...a $40+ retriever is suddenly worthless. Overall, the retriever is built like a quality product and hence the 'quality' price. It's not perfect, but it's definitely nice. If it were in the $25-30 range, it would absolutely be a 5 star product.

Expensive but worth it
Great tool that gets the job done. The shaft is just durable enough to get most balls within range.

Best retriever ever
I have had one if these for the past 30 years, loved it to death. Size just right if you carry bags, or walk. Fits nicely in your bag, and anything further away than that belongs to the golf gods. I can’t keep a 20’ steady enough to hunt balls Sadly someone else thought so too when I left mine on the course. New “keep closed” hook is nice too

Works perfect and fits in the bag.
This is perfect. I’ve had a different one that is similar but this is better. Worth the price. The other one would get difficult to open up. This one is the best.

Yellow clip fell off
Great reach and length with the Executive model ; but after some heavy rains here in California and retrieving golf balls that yellow folding clip fell off and I can’t snap it back on! Suggestions? So I used an ordinary folding clip instead to close it and take it off when I’m ready to retrieve. I can still use the I gotcha , it still works.

Useless
The retriever is to short and I doesn’t work when the ball is laying in the mud. You need to put pressure on the ball to make the spring mechanism go off, the shaft is to flexible at full extension with result of pressing the ball in to the mud and losing the ball.

Genial y muy largo.
Genial y muy largo para pescar bolas que han caído en los charcos.
