Slow speed makes it a beginner's tube
Sloooooow ride. For some inexplicable reason the bottom of this tube is textured. It acts like a speed governor. Even using it on glaze ice in MA - where sledding conditions were fantastic this winter - the tube was underwhelming. If you're looking for a 'training wheels' tube to introduce your youngster to snow tubing, this one is for you. It's well made other than the textured bottom.

waste of materials, takes longer to air it up than it does for the product to fail
This past weekend I had a large sledding party at my house. A few days before the party our local Shopko store had a sale on 38'' Snow Dasher tubes. Between myself and other guests we purchased 16 of these tubes. My sledding hill is mowed in the summer and well groomed all winter, with at least a foot and a half of hard packed base. there are no sticks or debris to puncture a tube. The sides of the hill are banked to prevent anyone from going off track. Kids ranged from 5 to 18 years of age. Out of 16 of the Snow Dasher tubes, not one survived the day. Not even one. The first to pop lasted only about 30 minutes. I often wonder why companies are allowed to sell a product that cannot hold up to the task it is designed to perform. It is a waste of materials and ultimately ends in the overfilling of our landfills. This product is not worth the materials it took to produce. Don't waste your money.

Piece of Junk
Took these out of the box after purchasing them after the season last year. Blew them up. Sent husband with small kids to the hill. Four minutes later the tube was flat. Please don't waste your money. I am not even going to attempt to patch them!
