Germs vs. Soap: A Silly Hygiene Book about Washing Hands! (Hilarious Hygiene Battle) Paperback – June 29, 2020

Awesome book for teaching about germs, especially during sick season! I would recommend to any teacher or parent! The book does a wonderful job explaining how and why we need to wash hands and a little on what germs are! 10/10!

This book is fun, colorful, and great for explaining to children why washing their hands with soap and water is so important!

If you read it with the characters voices it’s so cute!! My PreKindergarten students loved it as the prequel to handwashing lessons!

super cute book! however, i sadly can't use it in my class. i, personally, feel it is too advanced for the age i teach (pre-k, 4-5). no fault to the author though! i would definitely recommend it for older children.bonus stars because it was a returnless refund, so i get to keep it! which will be great for teacher friends, future age groups i might teach, or even with my own kids someday!

Taught my students to wash their hands in a way they could understand

I bought this and the sick Simon book to help my children understand germs. My kids love this one too but they understand sick simon better as they are 3 and 1. This book is fun it talks about how germs party when you don’t use soap in a fun way my 3 yo likes it but i don’t read it in its entirety and paraphrase as they don’t have the attention span for it yet. Still great.

Germs are a really obscure concept for kindergarteners, but this book provides a wonderful (and silly) explanation of what they are and how to keep our bodies healthy through handwashing. Depending on the group, I do sometimes edit out some of the germs' commentary (it can be a little distracting from the point of the story and the potty talk can be distracting for some groups), but overall I really enjoy having this book on hand and the kids love reading (and rereading) it throughout the year.
