Love this soil blocker. It’s easy on the hands and super easy to use. I used a small smooth rounded marker to make the hole bigger and deeper and transplanted my lavender starts and they are thriving and have grown a lot more than in the plastic seed tray almost overnight! Just ordered the mini to use for my seeds and can then transplant into this size. Great system.

This blocker works well, so long as the blocking mixture is wet enough. Though the how-to video showed filling it by simply pressing and dragging the blocker through wet substrate, I had to pack the thing by hand to produce firm blocks that didn’t fall apart. It screeched terribly at first, but after about 30 sets of blocks the metal-on-metal noise was much diminished. It does, on occasion, fail to spring back up fully so if it isn’t noticed and the handle pulled fully up you end up with half-height blocks.

Well made with heavy guage steel. I made over 600 soil blocks the first day in about 4 hours, including mixing the soil. I'll do over 2,000 blocks this week. This tool is a real advantage in seed starting and means I can transfer directly into grow bags once they've established good roots. I highly recommend using this method for small to mid size vegetable garden growers and the Soligt tool is one of the best I've ever used.

This is awesome! My 3 year old and I have had so much fun soil blocking this spring. I just use a prepackaged seed-starting mixture and mix water in until it's the right consistency. There are many youtube videos on this, but basically it's when a handful of soil clumps together when squeezed and water drips out of the clump. If it's too dry, the soil block that comes out will be a partial one, without the divot for the seed that the soil blocker should make on the top of the block. I have used a few of my imperfect soil blocks when in a hurry, but the ones with the proper divots are much nicer, so it's worth it to figure out the right ratio of water to seed starter. Anyway, I love my soil blocker and will use it every spring in my seed starting!

Spring on handle too long/tight to fully eject blocks. Had to cut off 1/2”. Push plates bent up on one side needed to be straightened to push out squarely. There was a burr along cube exit area needed to be filed smooth all along in order to eject cubes smoothly. Don’t know if the more expensive blocker would be better made than this but my husband fixed the issues and I just bought to play with in my backyard garden so I’ll keep. If you were doing more production you might want to get a better quality.

Trying to save the world from plastic. It was a little hard to get the dirt to water ratio right. But the blocks seem to hold up well. I did not think about it but if you plant more than one seed the fall in the hole in the middle. Can not separate the plants after they sprout.

This thing is the best simple tool I have purchased in a very long time. It just works nothing fancy no bells and whistles just a good practical tool. I saw this on a Jim Kovaleski video and knew I needed one. You can't really make a mistake as long as you have the soil mix right you will love this thing!

This is a great product. I am only writing a review because I read many people say it was loud. It's true: upon arrival, it was very squeeky. BUT... after a few uses, it doesn't make a sound. This tool has helped me start over 300 seeds. Plants are then so easy to put in the ground without damaging roots. Love it!

Ich hatte Diesen Quad Bodenlocker für meine Lebensgefährtin zum Geburtstag gekauft. Leider zu Früh bestellt um es wieder zurück zu Schicken. Nach 5 Maligen Gebrauch konnte man das Teil nicht mehr Benutzen.Die Ausdrückplatten waren Total verbogen,so das Sie nicht mehr in die Taschenführung gehen.Schade um das Schöne Geld.
