Fengtaiyuan BP18, Blue Gel Ink Rollerball Pens - Comfortable Non-Slip Grip, Blue Ink, Extra Fine, 0.5mm, Quick-Drying Ink, 18-Piece Box (BP18)

This product is not a roller ball pen but in fact is a ballpoint pen. The refill rattles and it simply does not write well. I would not buy this again and wish I could return this. I would not recommend this to anyone and there are pens of equivalent value which are far better and more reliable.

I'm retired military, so writing in log books and repair orders all day you become real picky about the pen you use because you need a good one. As I am now a contractor working for the military I find myself still needing a good pen.This pen is one of the lightest pens I have ever used... correction, IS the lightest pen I have ever used. It writes beautifully the instance you take it out of the box! The coating they use for the pen is extremely comfortable. It feels like a light rubber coating. It floats over the page. just got these today and I am going to order another box tomorrow.

Not bad looking although with Fengtaiyuan written on side, not great. But better looking than plastic pens. Nice black matt type finish, gold trim.What I did not like was that for a gel pen, it did not write that smoothly.I have used other gel pens and they usually write pretty smooth.

I love the way the fit in my hand. Issuing these pens makes it easier to write more clearly and I have better penmanship. I often put lotion on my hands and then go to write and find it difficult because the oil gets on the paper and then my pen won't write, however, that does not happen with these pens and I LOVE that. It makes a huge difference because I write fast and these pens make it possible for me to go at the speed I wish to without losing my quality of penmanship or getting stuck writing over areas that the ink otherwise wouldn't transfer due to oil from my hands. My only complaint is that the pens do run out of ink fast. Though, I haven't compared it to other pens in terms of how quickly they run out since I only started to notice that with these pens and my writing has probably increased a bit. I bought this box of pens 2 months ago and have 4 of them left and have gone through about 2.5-3 average sized journals with them. That seems excessive to me, however, the quality makes such a different that I'm buying another box. Also, the ink doesn't smear or get on my hands and I like that a lot, too, so overall, it's been well worth it. I do have to be careful not to set the pen down on fabric without the lid because the ink can transfer to fabric easily by just touching it with even the side of the tip.

I ordered these in November 2020 instead of my previous favorite, Inkjoy .5mm, because I was hoping to find a pen that was easily refillable to cut down on waste. First, for the positive: they do write smoothly and form factor is chunky, which means they fit well in the hand without cramping. But...here's the thing about these pens: I have never gone through ink so quickly. I write about a page a day - no more than that, sometimes even less, and do not draw with these - and somehow have already used up 6 of these pens in less than 3 months - and I'm about to finish another (pictured). It truly is mind-boggling to me, because I have never experienced this phenomenon with any other pen I have ever used.Typically an Inkjoy .5mm or Pentel Precise V5 .5mm will take 5-6 months for me to use up. I don't know if this is because, as I mention in my title, the width is far bigger than .5 mm; it looks instead like .7 with the amount of ink that flows out, or if there is another reason. I'm attaching a comparison photo of writing with a Pilot Precise V5 .5mm and this .5mm pen, as well as of the two tips together so that the difference can be seen.Ironically, as I was trying to prevent myself from producing more waste, with the rapidity at which these pens use up ink it is creating MORE - and they are not .5 mm as advertised, at least compared to every other .5mm pen I have ever used. I can't recommend these for the money.

It's a little bit larger than a normal sized pen, to hold, so having larger than normal hands, it's an extremely comfortable grip. Very fine, ball point, gel ink, pens. Writes flawlessly without having to apply much pressure. One of the best pens I've ever used. I used them daily as a Commercial Truck Driver, have already ordered 2 boxes and will definitely order more when the need arises... and it will arise. I give this item a 9/10 ☆'s.. My only wish is that they came in a "Click-style" Retractable version.

Overall probably the best writing utensil I have bought yet. I have bought ALOT of pens in my life and I took a chance with these. I journal alot and the pens provide good grip and comfort. I just wish they came in blue in as well so I could switch off. I have bought 3 boxes thus far and will continue to buy when i run out!

I have a habit of twirling pens in my hand as i'm thinking and walking. This is a very nice feeling pen in your hand. I always loved 0.7 pens and I prefer gel ink as well. This pen kind of stands out in your average office environment (people will probably ask you what is that). The only drawback to these are the weights. They are extremely light which probably wouldn't bother the average joe but a fountain pen user will instantly feel a difference. Despite the weight I love that I have this gigantic box full of these haha. This is a great alternative when you aren't using your $100-$1000 fountain pen. I went to two casinos for new years and lo and behold I had the Fengtaiyuan in my pocket the entire time!This company is on to something. They didn't quite hit the bullseye but this could easily become your favorite everyday pen. If they added addition weight the price would jump up however. I will be ordering a box of red soon :)

I purchased a box of these pens because of the glowing reviews and high rating they possess. I've used several of the pens from the box I purchased here on Amazon. Let me be succinct. These pens stink.When writing they skip over letters because they do not write evenly. I thought perhaps these pens need to warm up, or the paper was at fault, or that just one of them are defective and the others would be okay. None of that was true. The only thing consistent in how they write is that they are consistently terrible.Save your money for other options.

I bought thinking from description a more sophisticated version than leaky papermate gels I used previously. Nicer presentation but same leaky crap. Sent them back.

This pen came in a pack of 20, and because I didnt know where it was coming from I was unsure of the quality. I heard good things about this pen and theyre not wrong! Its a great pen!It writes well, good ink pen, very smooth, dries quickly, no smudging, its very good looking, but I only wish that it came in more colours!Very good pen- highly recommend

These are extremely cheaply built pens that are made to look expensive.The plastic housing is made of a nice material to the touch, but at the nib end of the pen the plastic looks loose around the tip and it feels like the pens could easily leak based on the cheap construction.The actual quality of the lines the pens make is not terrible but no where near worth paying a premium for.Personally I regret this purchase.

My husband is VERY fussy about what he using in the office for pens. Bought as a joke gift from the dog. He LOVES them and I admit, I try and steal one away every now and than for my office. Definitely buy again!
