Normally really tasty, however, out of all the times I've ordered it, only the most recent time have they been soggy/super soft from moisture

I enjoyed these but they were very oily PROS: - Large amount in the packet - Nice flavour CONS: - Very fatty/oily, it coats your mouth. I’m not sure if this is standard or not for Droëwors as this was the first brand I tried

I love me some meat. This stuff is the way forward for high protien and flavour. Tip. Chop two into chunks and chuck it in gravy... beastly... For camping take these for instant protien and flavour if you chuck them into... super noodles! Boom. 8 quid a pack i would buy them more often but not bad as a treat. The flavour is perfect for a pinch of spice and garlic

Bought 2 x Smallys biltong chilli chutney and garlic and the Droewors in chilli and garlic for the SA rugby match last weekend. Had the chilli chutney biltong first, taste was okay but was on the verge of dry. My South African partner didn't like them. However I proceeded to try the Droewors today. Big mistake. Only a couple of bites into my first one, and it didn't taste right or of much. It left a lot of fatty residue and a really awful texture in my mouth. The only way to describe it was like that metallic feel/taste of you bit into foil. For some reason, I thought I'd give the pack benefit of the doubt, and tried a different piece, then another, only a small bite. Same disgusting texture. Overall had like what, 5 bites in total. Fast forward a couple of hours later, I'm vomiting, tummy is in excruciating pain whilst Im having fun on the toilet; all at the same time. I'd avoid at all costs unless you're looking to show your toilet a good loving. Let's hope I'm not even more stupid to open the last packet of biltong.

Overall product is ok. Mediocre. I almost broke a tooth 2 or 3 times on bits of bone tho so i wouldnt buy it again.

I have been ordering this brand of Droewors for the past 2 years. Absolutely love the flavours, texture, and taste. The Jalapeno is probably my favourite. Just an amazing product.

I am not a droewors man, I do not cling to spiced meat sticks with any real frequency, nor regularly stuff my face with dried beef products. I am not a droewors man. And thus I cannot attest to how this particular droewors compares to other droewors. I was not raised in the shadow of Table Mountain. I have not strolled the banks of the Limpopo. My wild companions are the squirrel, the rabbit, the pigeon, not the lion, the elephant or gazelle. All I know is what my tastebuds tell me, and they tell me they want more Smallys.

Loved the price and the amount in the packet as well as the droëwors “taste” or spice was great. The only negative aspect of it was the fatty/coating it left in my mouth. I felt like it left a bitter after taste and plastic like coating in my mouth. I thought maybe it was the toothpaste or something I had before, that didn’t mix well but I’ve grown up with eating droëwors all my life. Unfortunately I wouldn’t buy this again. Im so sorry.
