Weird question but if you sit, can your junk be seen? Seems like with a 5" inseam you need to be careful.

Let's just say if you're modest about your junk showing, don't get these. My 6'2" tall husband wears these and loves them. The stretchy fabric is thin but not see through. Just like boobs that bulges in a shirt, the lower junk bulges as well and is noticeable, but only if you're looking. And no, the junk CANNOT be seen through the short inseam, unless you're very WELL endowed.

Are these the shorts Magnum PI wears?

They are not that short. I am 5’7 and they are the perfect fit.

What is the leg opening measurement and outseam length?

I wear a size 36. The leg opening is 12" and the out seam is 16". But my guess is that these measurements vary depending on the waist size. These are very comfortable shorts. They wash well and come out of the dryer almost wrinkle free. I will be buying more.

Why does the price increase as you go lower in size?

Could be whatever tends to be more in demand. But I will say the commonly linear price increase for clothes in the bigger sizes is a world-wide gouging conspiracy. It doesn't cost that much for the very little additional material used.
