I had stopped shaving using foam long before because it's make skin extremely dry. There after I was using gel shaving cream it makes less dry but still needed moisturizing cream or oil after shaving. But when you use this product you not required any extra things after shaving. Gives very good lather and keep the skin moisturized and hydrated. It has very sweet aroma also. I will highly recommend this product for shaving.

Pros - Lathers easily - Mild and inoffensive scent Cons - Absolutely no moisturising abilities so I have to apply a little beard oil first - This is yet another hard shaving soap - dunno why nobody is coming out with a softer one. This isn't really a problem but I suspect it will help with the slickness if they do The company can do a lot better and I will look out for future releases.

Very nice shaving soap. truly value for money . i feel no irritation with this shaving soap. thick and silky smooth leather for better shavnig .soap work great. Better than those top branded and expensive shaving cream or soap in market . most of shaving product irritates and gives burning sensation on my skin but this soap work great for me .i feel no burning sensation during shaving with this soap ,i fully satisfied with hajamat shaving soap .

Lathers like a normal handsoap instead of a shaving soap. Have to use a significant amount to be useful for shaving. But does soften and hydrate the beard extremely well.

This is absolutely and unequivocally good. In fact, with correct use, it is very good even. Lathering shaving soaps needs a bit of practice as it is slightly different from shaving cream, shaving gel and shaving foam. This, however is a relatively softer soap so gathering from the tub and lathering on the surface is easier. It is slick when a right amount of water is mixed. but can dry out if not, while gathering. This is universal. So the soap is in itself good, and great since it is made in India. It is wonderful, however, for its fragrance. Please do not believe the tosh about the bad fragrance mentioned in older reviews. It smells really old-school, like the soaps used by our grandfathers and great grandfathers in hair salons, like the soft green or pink shaving soaps in round, small, blue or green tubs and also at home or roadside 'italian' salons('hajam'). The entire packaging with gold screw top, name, shaving soap itself and the fragrance are reminiscent of those times. So you will surely like the nostalgia and old school charm if you are so incline. It is a mood piece, in short. So go for it if you like a luxuriant, very traditional and charming wet shave experience. It is a man's thing, not a little boy's.

I have been using Hajamat products since 5 or maybe 6 years. Love their quality, old charm feel and price. But take a look at your poorly thought out packaging this time. I used to love the shaving soap in its plastic container, easy to open and carry. The new aluminium can give me the feeling I am getting less quantity than what I was used to. When I compare the two packages the qty packed is in different units so the consumer like me is tricked into not knowing easily and will give up. The worst problem is that the aluminium can is hard to twist open. I might crack my nails. I have to use a fabric to hold it as it is slippery when my hands are wet. Even then it does not open easily. I carried it on travel and it met with a few dents. Now it looks worse. Even harder to open. Every morning I am fed up of this and get into a foul mood. I had to shave and struggled again. I finally went into the kitchen, prised the soap out with a knife, and have cut it into four pieces to fit it into the old box. And it looks uglier. Take a look at the photos. The lather is no longer as rich and foamy and luxurious as it used to be. Now you tell me, what will you do to change my mind from not ordering again from you once I finish this soap?
