Does it have an odor? My scent hound is very picky b/c of his excellent sense of smell.

I donated it to a shelter because I could only use a small fraction of it before the Expiration Date which was approaching.  But I recall it has a very clean smell, almost no odor at all.

How effective are these as they are NOT in an enterically -coated capsule?
I have always given capsules because I read that this insured the probiotics' survival past the stomach acid, and into the intestine (which is where they are most needed).

I would tend to agree...How could this powder survive? In my most humble opinion, this probiotic would not make it through the dog's stomach acid alive. If it can, someone please enlighten me with something scientific. I use a capsule for myself as well as my pup that is enteric-coated, which protects it from stomach acid until it reaches our intestines. Common sense tells me I'm doing the right thing.

Does this lose efficacy if cooked? I would like to bake my dog some biscuits for travel and was wondering if I could just add it to the batter.
