I’m not sure where it’s made. I know Janod is a Danish product, but nowadays that doesn’t mean much. Sorry I couldn’t answer.

Q: Is this easy to turn?

Very easy to turn. My grandson is 15mos and he’s all over the place with his hippo.

Q: Do the handle bars turn? Can the child steer where they are going?

It's hard to see in the pictures, but there is a bolt between the seat and the bucket that allows the entire front (the handlebars and the bucket) to swivel as the child steers.
