SHOEI X-12 BREATH GUARD

This breath guard is okay, but just okay; it's nothing to write home about. It does help with fogging on the faceshield a bit better than nothing. But it doesn't really prevent it like the one in my Scorpion EXO 1000 does. The other issue (the reason I purchased this replacement and why I know it's marginally better than nothing) is that it comes out of the channel it mounts in very easily; like when you're carrying your helmet across a parking lot That is what happened to the original one that came with my helmet. By the time I found it, it had already been run over enough times to make it useless and I'd ordered a replacement anyway. That being said, if you ride in cool weather you will need it; just be sure to keep an eye on it and don't accidentally pop it out of place when carrying your helmet by the chin guard. One would think that with the X12 being their top of the line street helmet, Shoei would have done a better job than this.
