As a mother to 3 daughters, 2 of which are biracial and a 2 year old biracial granddaughter I have tried so many products through the years as I'm sure you have too before you read about this product. Some were thick and gross, some thin and didn't do a thing. As my granddaughter got older and her hair changed from the thin baby hair I thought to myself, " oh Lord, I never found a good product that I swear by or made anything easier". I was on the hunt and with more information now on line I was determined to find what will work without the bad chemicals because all I had to work with 20 + years ago was what they had in my local grocery store or pharmacy, not fun times for my daughter's or myself! Right away I came across Mixed Chick's and I was eager to try it. I love that it's for all hair types! I am white with unruly long dull wavy hair. I usually have to keep product in it to make sure the waves turn to more defined curls or straighten it. Our granddaughter lives with us so I couldn't wait to try this and see what it was all about, for both her and myself! It came wrapped in a plastic bag to secure it from making a mess if there were any leaks but all was intact and when I opened the bottle I was pleasantly surprised that it was filled all the way to the rim. That's a big one in my book because there's nothing like paying for a product that doesn't have as many ounces in it that it is supposed to and your paying for. So first I used this on my own hair when I got out of the shower. Taking sections of my hair and massaging Mixed Chick's leave in conditioner throughout while concentrating on the ends. I then let it air dry as I normally do. Very easy with minimal time, which says a lot with my length of hair which easily falls somewhere along the middle of my back or further. When it was dried I was left with locks with much more defined curls without the frizz! It honestly looked like I spent a lot of time on my hair or used products from the salon. I usually use a serum for somewhat of this effect but it never lasts through the day and no where as good as this. My husband complimented with a noticeable difference and have I said how it has a nice fresh smell as well! Now I needed to know how this will work for my granddaughters curls (3C). She has it in pony tails often and I really wanted to see her be able to wear her hair down letting her curls bounce freely. Besides that I really wanted her to be more comfortable at daycare and embrace those beautiful curls! After tubby time we did the same to her hair applying it in portions, using more of the creme per hair ratio for her hair. She went to bed but I could already tell her locks were so much more hydrated, exactly what I was looking for. The next morning instead of getting out her tiny bands for her hair I applied just a little more and ran my finger though hair. Voila! So simple and stunning! Her little curls look so healthy and full of bounce. Just adorable and I can't imagine how nice it must be for her to not have her hair tied up. I'm happy to know that after ALL these years not only have I found something that works but is free from harsh chemicals! Win win for us! My daugters are waiting for theirs to arrive now and if they have any kind of different results than we did I will update my review. I will be a returning customer buying the bigger bottle of this miracle.

Soft curls & waves. No frizz.
I have curly, grey with white hair. There are a lot of hair products for curly hair and a reasonable amount of products for grey and white hair but it's hard to find products for curly grey and/or white hair. Most hair products not made for grey and white hair can leave a dull, pale yellow tint to the hair. Also grey and white hair is often dry so products should include a moisturizing element. I've found that the best conditioners for me are somewhat light, leave-in conditioners. I used one specific leave-in hair conditioner and one hair gel for years but I can no longer find either product so I've been on a search for new products to replace my old favorites. I purchased Mixed Chicks Curl Defining & Frizz Eliminating Leave-In Conditioner because I was somewhat frustrated that I couldn't find a leave-in conditioner for curly grey and white hair and this conditioner seemed like a good product for most curly hair. I purchased it with a strong hold sculpting gel and used the two together. I determined I needed a gel with a more flexible hold and, although the Mixed Chicks conditioner seemed to work reasonably well, the conditioner was not developed for grey and white hair and it is a pale yellow in color so I became concerned that it might leave a dull yellow tint to hair after a while. so after only a few uses, I decided to try another conditioner that might work better for my hair. The gel that I purchased with this conditioner was strong hold style and it was took much for my hair. I decided to replace both the conditioner and the gel. I purchased Not Your Mother's Defining Curl Talk Cream, Frizz Control Curl Talk Sculpting Gel with flexible-firm hold, and Refreshing Curl Talk Foam and began using that group of hair products exclusively. I liked them very much but I still didn't have the Goldilocks just right combination. I decided to try the Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner with the Not My Mother's Frizz Control Curl Talk Sculpting Gel this evening. After washing my hair, I added a bit of conditioner and, after working it into my hair, a dollop of the Frizz Control gel. Then I used my very professional hair styling technique; I pushed my hair around a bit, scrunched it a bit and headed out the door to the grocery with my hair still wet. The humidity was 79%. When I got home, my hair was dry, soft, nicely curly with waves, and had NO frizz. Seventy-nine percent humidity virtually guarantees frizz most of the time but not tonight! In addition to a conditioner that works well, I also will only use products that are cruelty free and have recyclable containers, although it's not always clear how recyclable the containers are when I order them to be delivered until I receive the product and can read the actual container. This conditioner has the PETA cruelty free symbol and 2 symbols that indicate the bottle is made with a recyclable, biodegradable resin. The bottle also has a symbol that indicates the conditioner is good for 18 months. I can't say for certain that this leave-in conditioner will work as well for others but I would recommend giving it a try for anyone searching for a good leave-in conditioner for curly hair. The Mixed Chicks conditioner was overpowered by the previous gel I used so I couldn't really tell how it worked. When I paired it with the Not My Mother's gel this evening my hair looked and felt like it did when I used my previous, much loved conditioner and gel combination. I am a little concerned that this conditioner my discolor my grey and white hair. The conditioner is actually a pale yellow color so it may not work in the long run. I'll update this review if it discolors my hair after using it a while.

Great Product
LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I use it for my curls and my boys. We all have different textured curls and it works great for everyone. Instead of waking up with frizzed hair, the curls are already defined. If you use a nice amount, there is no need for gel or hair products. Itโs smells nice and so far I donโt see any cons using it everyday.

Soft beautiful curls and wave
I have 2c/3a waves with curls and collarbone length fine/medium gray hair. This product works beautifully for me. It gives my hair body, great curl definition and control. Next to no frizz if untouched until completely dry. Love it!

works best with wet hair
I am a 40+ girl with fine blonde hair that hates humidity. My hair would get frizzy when younger, but still looked healthy ... now it looks terrible most days. I hesitate to say it is because of my getting older, but maybe... :-) I tried this product twice so far and I am pleased with results. I use about a nickle size amount in my hand and rub all through hair starting at ends and middle of hair leaving the base for last. The reason for the heading is that the first time I tried it I took too long to put product in hair (uh oh). Half was close to dry and the rest was a little damp. well the product did not feel good in my hair (felt like I had product overload film). I wash my hair every other day. So I washed the product out of my hair 2 days later and was surprised that my hair was not as tangled and dry feeling. So I decided to try the product again on quick towel dried hair....it worked much better! Hair was soft and did not feel film of product over load like the last time. Still have a small feel of product in hair, but I do have product in hair that is making my hair look and feel healthier. Definitely a big thank you for this product, I am liking my hair again. Makes it soft and cuts down on frizz dramatically with my fine blonde hair. Hope this helps.

Works well for Asian curly/wavy hair
I am an Asian woman with wavy/curly hair that goes out of control when exposed to a minimal degree of humidity. I have tried countless hair products in all price ranges, from a low to very high end, for frizz control and styling, and nothing has worked as well as Mixed chicks leave-in conditioner. My friend recommended this product to me (who has gorgeous big Egyptian curly hair with tiny curls and has tried numerous hair products as you can imagine) that it works like magic. Skeptical at first, I bought a small bottle from a drug store, and I have become a huge fan ever since. This is my third 33oz bottle I am ordering now for myself (a bottle goes a long way, but I keep one at home and another in the gym locker, not to mention that I also carry a small tube for short trips and emergency fix). My mother who perms her hair loved it when she tried mine (I did not expect it since she does not have naturally curly hair), so I sent two 33oz bottles to her place. I have used amazon prime for several years although I don't write as many reviews as I should because I heavily rely on customer reviews when I order products. This product is not cheap but the bottle lasts almost a year (I have upper-back length hair and wash my hair 1-2 times daily). It is yellow cream colored and has mild and pleasant smell which does not clash with other fragrant bath products (i.e. body lotion, perfume, etc.). It is of lotion consistency, and the best part is that it keeps the shape of your curls without making them crunchy or oily at all. I usually apply it to my hair after towel-drying my hair after morning workout and air dry it on my way to work. My mother told me that she applies it to near-dry hair as she is styling after she blow dries her hair, and it works like magic to hold her hair the way she wants to style. She said she loves it because it does not weigh her hair down nor leave sticky and unpleasant feel to her hands or hair after application. I am always in rush before work with very little patience or time to blow dry my hair so I have not tried it myself. When the temperature is sub-zero I quickly blow dry my hair to avoid a frozen hair mess, usually after applying mixed chicks conditioner. Several people (usually with curly/wavy hair) have asked me what products I use to keep my curls lively since I have started using mixed chicks, a question I have never been asked before (probably because of the freezy hair!), and I recently sent this product to a friend of mine a gift when she asked me about hair products. I have not used any other products by Mixed Chicks (shampoo or conditioner) because I am happy with the results I get with their leave-in conditioner regardless which shampoo I use (I am more picky about conditioner than shampoo as most people are, and there are a few cheaper conditioners that work just fine so I have not felt the need to try deep conditioner by mixed chicks). But if I ever do I will post a review as well. For the skeptics with curly/wavy hair that often becomes a freeze ball, I recommend giving this product a try (perhaps the smaller one). The only complaint I have about the product is the pump. When there is about 20% left in the bottle, it is impossible to get it out of the pump, so I have to transfer the content to a new bottle I order from Amazon or to a travel bottle. It is fairly frustrating since it happened to all three bottles I have purchased, but I can live with it for now.

3b curls tamed!
A nice lightweight feeling curl-tamer! My hair type is 3b, and gets frizzy/poofy easily. I love this leave-in conditioner, and will be buying more. Itโs rare to find a good product for super curly hair.

Can't live without it! My Curls love it! It's more for DRY hair.
This is a MUST for me. I have VERY CURLY and VERY DRY HAIR. If i do not put anything in my hair I would look like the before picture of unruly frizzy hair, you name it. I have the BIG bottle with the pump. I shop around and when i find it for a good price. The best i have found was $36 for 33oz you just have to keep an eye out for those specials online. I have also bought it for $50 when i was low. After I shower I use 3-4 pumps, I put enough on that my hair looks moisturized. Everything is done with your fingers if you want your hair curly. Do not run a brush or comb through your hair. I am PR/Italian and both sides of my family have curly hair. I have the curliest hair in the family and very dry. After doing that i use Argan oil just a little, then pantene curly mousse and then L'Oreal Mega Hair Gel . All done with your fingers only! flip your hair wiggle your fingers shake your hair and when you are done.... do not touch your hair again. Sounds like a lot of stuff? I do this a day or two BEFORE an event. the first day your hair will be hard, crunchy and flat. Do not play with it. When you go to bed flip your head and put your hair together with a scrunchy on top of your hair. (it will probably stand straight up ) When you wake in the morning take it down and shake. as the days go on if you are like me with VERY DRY VERY CURLY HAIR the curls wind up looking so Beautiful and it can last for days. My husband loves it. When I run out of gel or mouse you can see the difference in the hold of the curls but the mixed chicks still make them look really nice, it just doesn't last as long. I get a LOT of compliments on my curls!!! I have bought this for a lot of people and talk tell about it like i have and investment. I should get something for all the advertizing i do THAT"S how much i love it!! When we first moved to Florida before we got married i had no idea what to do with my curls, I was so upset! I was not used to the humidity here. My hair was just awful. I went to the salon to dye my hair and they put this on my hair and sent me home with a sample. The whole car ride home i was saying to myself I am going to have to redo my hair and by the time i got home my curls were pretty nice just with the Mixed chicks which they put a lot in because my hair just soaked it up. Needless to say i went back to buy a bottle and I've been hooked ever since! IF YOU DON'T HAVE DRY HAIR this may not be for you or use very little.

Perfect for high porosity hair
My wife has combo of 2b/3c curly hair that is prone to breakage and frizz, and under recommendation from her stylist we picked up this product. According to her, its been real a game changer. Her hair seems to be much more resistant to breakage and looks very healthy and shiny after using it for a few months. She has a whole routine for the hair care but this is the leave in she says gives the best results and keeps her hair moisturized, This product in tandem with a curl cream, keeps her hair nice and defined. She just added this to her routine a few months ago and the changes has been noticeable, she loves the results and feels better about her (beautiful) curls, so I would give this product 5 stars. Wife tested, Husband approved.

Heaven in my hair!
I took my time to evaluate the product, and now, after my 4th purchase, I feel confident to write a review, considering the long/term results of the leave-in! I do have a 3b/3c hair, and I am a total mixed chick, with blended Jewish/African/Portuguese origins. My hair is extremely dry, and I do live close to the polar circle (so, the weather conditions do not help). Since I moved here (ca. 5 years), I've struggled to find a product suitable for my hair, and I finally found it! Before mixed chicks, I've tried all possible famous brands (Sebastian, Paul Mitchel, Deva Curl, etc), and the results were never what I was used to have in my home country. Now, I finally feel that I am investing my money in a good hair product! Mixed chicks managed to give me all the results I would like to have: well-defined curls, no frizz, controlled volume, hydrated curls and, finally, the overall look where I can recognize myself again! If your curl are above 3b, I totally recommend! As a final note, I do not recommend mixing it with Sebastian or Paul Mitchel products because I've tried and I got dandruff while combining products. However, this side-effect disappeared after I stopped mixing, and I am very happy with the product!
