Expensive 'high quality' cat foods are the equal in price to many canned meats. The issue with canned meats is that often A LOT of salt is added. And that much salt is never good for any creature (humans or pets). I don't really like a lot of commercial pet foods. They have odd preservatives, bi-products, and often have some sort of additive from china. So I needed an alternative canned meat food with no salt. Our local store in my rural Alaskan village does not sell canned meats with no salt. And on Amazon- I'll admit the price of these was very expensive. But the price of these cans were also comparable to expensive pet food brands. And I'd rather opt for human-quality food for the same price. So I bought these cans. The cans come exactly as they say. Chunked WHITE chicken breast in water with no salt added. These cans would be amazing for baby food. I've pureed this food multiple times for my ferrets and they love it. My cats adore it. I often mix in a bit of raw egg as a 'sauce'. They eat it up. The cans come about 3/4 full of meat, with 1/4 water added. I've tried a bit myself. The chicken has a really nice taste- and you can tell it really is breast meat. It's quality white meat. Very good. And I love that there's no salt added. I think it makes it taste even better. And then you can judge how much seasoning you want to add on your own, rather than the canners deciding for you. The ingredients on this can literally just include "chicken meat, water, corn starch". The corn starch creates kind of a thick sauce out of the water. It's safe for animals to eat- as well as humans. I keep the sauce rather than drain it, when pureeing this food. It helps get a smoother texture. If you were going to use these cans for baby food I suggest keeping the sauce with the chicken. It purees really nicely. The chunk size is perfect for cats, small dogs, and ferrets. And I HIGHLY recommend this canned food for the purpose as a pet-food supplement. Add in a bit of raw egg for extra protein, and a 1/8th teaspoon of bone meal and you have a super high quality meal for your little furry children.

Just about perfect -- no salt (I'm at a stage in life where I need to watch my sodium intake), perfect amount for my uses, no "canned" taste at all -- just perfectly cooked chicken breast. I use this most often to add to soup to increase the amount of protein. Also use it for chicken salad, and add it to plain ramen noodles with some frozen veggies and a low-sodium sauce. Perfect results every time. I have it on subscribe and save so I don't run out.

Only no salted canned chicken I’ve found. A little pricey however.

This is a good one to have for snacks, or for a your emergency pantry. Canned will never be as good as fresh, but this is just about as good as canned can get. Low sodium, ample portion, two thumbs up.

I pick this canned chicken up because they are perfect for a low sodium diet. I use a can with a little of mayo or little bit of BBQ sauce and instant sandwich. I also use this to add to various pasta dishes. It’s good chicken, no weird taste to it it’s real good. It’s perfect to have on hand, I normally get a few cases at a time. Never had dents, date was always marked way head into the future so didn’t have to worry about freshness. No complaints, so pick them up for yourself and add a little bit more convenience to your day for meal prep and enjoy the tasty chicken on your plate, enjoy!

The nutrition information is different on the cans I received compared to the item described. It seems salty to me and I am not sure how much salt I removed by draining it. I have health issues that are improving by eating less sodium and potassium and a lot of praying. The chicken is a canned product and both the white and dark meat taste good. It is a canned product and things are limited by the process.

tastes good--can is full of chicken -- price was right a good deal - shipping was fast - only one or two cans had a little dent - only complaint is hormel puts phosphate preservative in it - but these are the only no salt added canned chicken on the market except for one brand that's $5 a can ouch - i knew when buying i was buying the phosphate additive - it has no effect on the taste - everything has some kind of chemical in it now days not to mention gmo & pesticides - these aren't that bad - i bought several 12 packs in case of covid shortages lock downs etc - put on salads or make sandwiches add mayo & mustard - cant beat the price - dec 2020 review written

I've had this product before. It's OK. No salt added products are not the tastiest, but it is protein and does the job. It's hard to find no salt added canned chicken breast and this was only available in a case (12 cans). So it's a large box, costs a lot, and hard to store, BUT it does have a good expiration date and eventually I'll go through them.
