Part was well made. It worked great adapting a modern 3.5" SATA hard drive to a 20+ year old motherboard with IDE data connections and did not require any added drivers to accomplish this.

Didn't work at all

I was given an old Sony Vaio desktop from my uncle. It was pretty ancient and was very slow to boot up and operate. I spent a lot of time waiting for programs to finish executing. I decided to install a Sata SSD but needed to convert from IDE to SATA. This handy little device worked like a charm. My boot up time went from several minutes to 25 seconds. The computer now runs much faster and I spend little time waiting for programs to execute. Very satisfied that I've restored an old machine to usefulness again. Highly satisfied with my purchase. Installation was so simple.

The device worked perfectly!! No drivers at all. This is a wonderful product to connect a SATA drive to and IDE controller. I would recommend this product.
