DECOMIL Flag Display Case with Certificate & Document Holder Frame

I bought two of these as my father and father-in-law served in WWII and received flags for their service. I wanted to protect and display them. Folding the flag properly was a challenge, but after several tries I got it. The area for a certificate can be used for a large photo or a document. I would recommend this product. The color was a dark brownish/burgundy but blends well with any decor.

Firstly, I'll say this case looks really nice. I've asked a couple people what they thought of it and they all really liked it. That being said there are some design flaws.There's nothing in the photo frame to keep the paper in/aligned (see photo). This is easily fixed by cutting up the box it came in and putting a single sheet of cardboard in as a backer. I feel like this could be designed better. Ultimately no one sees it, but if you're spending this much it would be nice to have a couple metal clips and a backing for the frame.Secondly, the part that holds the flag is a little too big if you have a tightly folded flag. Too big is better than too small, but I noticed the flag looks better with a couple pieces of cardboard holding it against the glass.All in all, even with my nitpicks this still is the best flag display case + certificate frame I've found, online or otherwise. If you're looking for one I would suggest trying this one out. Just know it takes an extra 5 minutes and the cardboard box it came in to get it just right.

I bought this for my dad's 90th birthday, his brother Sam died earlier this year at 91, he was a WW2 veteran.I polished up one of the shells from his military honours funeral and attached the coin they gave the family underneath. The certificate frame underneath the flag is 8 1/2 x 11 which gave me plenty of room for pictures printed on 1 sheet of photo paper. I bought a nice 3x5 flag to fold in the top. Dad lives in an assisted living facility & is short on room, this will look great on his wall.Dad is also a Navy veteran, I left room for his coin & shell above Sam's when he goes, I plan on adding a picture of dad in his uniform & displaying it back in our home when the time comes.The workmanship is much better than I expected for the money, we couldn't be happier with it

We bought this for our Former Company Commander Ken S. We had the flag fly over the capital on the 50th anniversary of us going to Vietnam in 1966. We were all in our very early 20's and now we are getting on with our age (do the math). Our Company Commander Ken was about 10 years older than us and much wiser. He brought us all home. In 2016 we had our 50th reunion in Orlando and presented the flag and the certificate in this very nice Demomil Flag Display Case with Certificate frame. We would highly recommend anyone wanting one of these just order it from Amazon. Good quality and well made. Well worth the money. I bought this for our close friend who was becoming a U.S. citizen. We folded a flag (3ft by 5ft) and placed it in the frame. And once he became a citizen we placed his certificate in the frame as well. It was super nice, no scratches or damage from the shipping. It was well packed once opened. The only reason I put a 4 star on it was because the flag frame, the backing, easily slid off. But once the flag was in there, I just glued it shut. So in the end it was a nice gift for a special occasion.

The Flag Case looks great. The quality and craftsmanship sets the standard for flag cases. The packaging is designed to protect from most handling damage (of course there are those extreme instances of handling abuse). Both the Flag case and the certificate frame are easily accessed. This model is designed to set solidly on a shelf or mantle, but it doesn't look bad if hung on a wall. The area to the left of the certificate allows for mounting an engraved plate or a coin. I've used this particular case to present military retirement flags for years. The only challenge I recently ran into was when the certificate was orientated as portrait instead of landscape. It would be nice if they were to offer a Flag Case with the certificate frame orientated portrait.

I ordered two of these display cases. They were well protected in shipping and arrived damage-free. I really like the way the sliding panels are designed to give you easy access to the flag and certificate areas. My 3X5 folded flag fit snugly and perfectly. I pressed my certificate up against the glass and used a little of the packing foam behind it to keep it snug as I slid that panel back in place. I have my shadow boxes standing on a credenza for display. They are stable and well balanced. The back has sturdy screw holes if you choose to mount. I am very satisfied with these elegant cases.

This could not have been easier to install the flag and certificate. No tools required, very slick operation. Just a little bit of tape and matting for the certificate and it slides right back in place. The flag fit exactly. The finish is very nice and the quality is very good for the price. There is no way you could make a one off of this yourself for the price. Would definitely recommend and would order again if I have another need for one. Even mounting to the wall was easy with the pre-drilled holes in the back. A couple of perfectly placed screws on the wall is all it takes.
