The keyboard doesn't fit as tight as the OEM DELL Inspiron 15 5588 keyboard. Also, the backlite cable ribbon doesn't have the word "UP" so be careful of how to orient the strip when you lock it into place. If the key lighting doesn't work, flip the ribbon cable. This fixed my issue.

For the most part it is a nice keyboard. I bought this keyboard because it was the only keyboard replacement with a backlit option for the Dell Inspiron 5759 on Amazon at the time. I would have preferred the backlit to be white like the original, but I cant discredit the keyboard because of that. The only thing I have against the backlit and the red colored keys is that they are hard to see if the keyboard is not lit up. The major complaint is that the space bar only works if you press it in the center of the bar and you have to make sure you press it harder than most. All the other keys seem to be fine. If this was a 10-15 dollar keyboard I would expect issues like this but for the price I paid I expected it to be a bit better than it is. I am not sure if this is a issue with just the keyboard I received or if all the keyboards have the same issue. Just something to be aware of if you are wanting to buy this keyboard. I would have almost preferred to buy a replacement that is not backlit so I wouldn't have this issue with the spacebar because it will significantly effect the way you type and the speed in which you type at. If it wasn't for that I would have given it a 4 star rating. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it wasn't for some of the keys back lighting, being dimmer than others. Overall I would say buy this keyboard if you really want the red back light. Otherwise I would not recommend buying this keyboard and its almost better just to go with no back light at all vs this keyboard. If you have the option to get a backlit keyboard that's like the original white backlit keyboard, I would 100% go with that.

Was having trouble with my whole left side of my keyboard gone. Had to change passwords when I was able just in case because they worked, then they didn't. Wasn't sure what I was going to get into but my son who is IT did it for me and it wasn't as hard or didn't take as long as I thought it would. About 10 minutes time. It gets pulled out from it's spot and back in with the laptop I have. So worth the money and great to have my whole keyboard back and don't have to copy letters from other places and add to what I'm trying to do. A lot of a's in a lot of words. The only thing that happened with mine was the left side held in place and the right side seems like it was just a smidge smaller and popped out and had to be pulled down more from the top to stay snapped in on the bottom. But it's staying in where's it supposed to be and it's great. Can get a few more miles out of my laptop, so to speak. Easy fix and glad this is all that needed to be done.

This keyboard is what it says it is and very easy to fit

I picked this over some slightly cheaper options due to it looking in the pictures just like my current laptop keyboard, front and back. On receipt, I immediately realized it wasn't the keyboard from the pictures, and was in fact the same keyboard that is in other cheaper listings on Amazon.The keyboard has foreign currency symbols on the '4' and '5' keys, just like some other cheaper listings, and which my keyboard doesn't have.The keyboard has a cheaper flimsier construction. The LED backlights shine out through the sides and in between the keys, making the keyboard look ridiculous when installed. It should only light up the characters on the keys.

Replacing the keyboard extended the life of the laptop. Feels like new again.

Popped right in and worked instantly. getting the connectors in was a minor issue. Once I got it right it was fine. This is not a fault of the keyboard. The only issue I might have is that the keys are not quite as white, but I can live with it. And it came really pretty quick, within a couple days. Overall a really good buy. UPDATE. I've been using this for a while now and realized the keys are not precise, meaning that, when I type I find my accuracy is going down a lot, because of keys not registering and registering twice. At first I thought it was me but realize it's the keyboard. I'm now considering alternatives.

"Mushy" key touch. "Space Bar" has a different touch "pitch", throwing off touch typing.Excellent HONEST customer support. Offered an immediate refund; replacing the keyboard would not make a difference in their assessment.Generic replacement keyboard , just not a 100% OEM replanceent
