Wow! i couldn't believe how well this thing works - my long-haired (Norwegian Forest mix) cat is a wiggle-worm and doesn't like to be groomed, so it is a struggle, especially to get to the mats stuck underneath his belly. I saww this and decided to get one to see if it would help. Not only does it work well, but he actually likes it! At one point he rolled over on his tummy and let me groom all the mats and fur! Amazing. I was also stunned at the amount of fur that came out - considering i do brush him and have another comb that i use regularly. See the ball of fur in one of the photos. He still has his 'mane' though so it didn't pull out too much. Since it is high summer here and hot, he seems more comfortable as well. I like that the tool has two sides - one for dealing with mats in his fur, and the other for pulling out the loose undercoat. I got the small size which is perfect for cats and easy to hold. I did notice that grooming him produced a lot of static and the fur clings to everything! I think that is a factor of the dry summer weather and the grooming action, not so much the tool itself. It is easy to remove the hair from the tool to clean it - the hair doesn't stick to the tool which is nice.

I have a German shepherd, so shedding is a daily occurrence. This brush really gets into the fluff on his legs and removes loose hair and undercoat without pulling or scraping his skin. Even just a couple passes with it make a huge difference! It's easy to hold with a grippy handle, it's a good size, and goes through his hair easily. So far, this is as good as new after several months of use so I know this will last.

This thing is dirt cheap but works wonders. I have another deshedding rake from top brand (can’t name brand or amazon will block my review) that cost 5x this one. omg took this one to my border collie after extensive brushing from top brand shedding brush/rake and came up with huge pile of hair after 3 strokes from same spot. This is a must have for long haired dogs with double weather resistant coats. Also works extremely well on my ragdoll cat.

It is a nice rake. Not as effective as shown on the video advertisement.

I trusted what I read and bought this brush, with fairly low expectations that it would do what I read. I have a younger cat that ended up having 3-4 very heavy chunks of matted fur on her backsides. We tried the combs, and the scissors (very carefully) and could not get rid of them. Enter this maxpower grooming brush. The 12 teeth side was for grooming, the 6 teeth side was for dematting. We did the 12 teeth initially, and she seemed to like it. We switched to the 6 teeth and you can feel that it really does dig in and grab the matted fur. It does, kind of, brush through the area, but when you apply yourself it really digs in and tries to dislodge the knot. I did it gently initially, then just tried to get 'into it' and pull it out. As I did it, she definitely could fee something, but no whimper, no claws or swipes, just a look back at me with a 'what are you doing back there' kind of nod. Within maybe 8-10 drags of the brush the knot was gone, and I easily pulled it away from her. You can tell/feel it's pulling on her, and she did vocalize a bit on the last few drags, but certainly nothing in pain, no meows. We decided one knot per session, so over the next few days, maybe week, we would attack the other knots. One or 2 were easy, one or 2 were really imbedded, but, the magic worked and they came out. I just finished the last one today, and she is knot free. Our girl I guess is a short haired cat, and this brush worked wonders. My wife and I are so glad we got it and can 100% recommend it.

My mind is blown! I have a long haired cat (a Norwegian forest cat) and he loved being “brushed” with this brush. I removed so much gross fur. He loved it and rolled around for me to get all areas. He’s so shiny now!!

I can honestly say, that this really works well. My cat doesn’t meow for being groomed, and with no tangles it makes the task easier. For those of you with either a dog or cat, I definitely say don’t hesitate and get one for yourself, and you will NOT disappointed

This pet grooming tool arrived as described. Packaging was easy to to remove. Having just had my Doodle groomed his hair didn't provide the usual challenge but it did demonstrate it would handle any matting issues

This is a fantastic brush. I have two short hair cats and have been using it on them. It’s amazing how much fur is coming out! They seem to really enjoy the feeling as well.

My very picky long haired cat LOVES this brush! It's great for getting at her undercoat and doesn't pull hard. She was apprehensive at first but I just sprayed it with cooled catnip tea and she loves it so much.

Good size for a Westie. Easy to use.

One of our cats had developed a couple of really nasty mats on his back. We were looking at an expensive (and stressful for him!) visit to the groomer. I decided to try this brush. It worked perfectly. And Flynn didn’t seem to mind it at all. After three days of careful brushing as instructed, mats all gone! Thank you 😊

Purchased to groom out a long haired cat (just adopted her) that has not been groomed in a while. She tolerated the gentle brushing for a short while and the brush did remove a remarkable about of dead & undercoat. The challenge will be the larger matts in her fur ... but thus far it is tolerated and is removing a lot of fur
