1) Had a budget of 10k - got it for less than 10k 2) Needed a compact phone - 6.2 inch, 165 gm - its ok, I would've liked bit more smaller phone 3) 4gb ram and 64 gb rom 4) good battery backup - lasts around 2 days of normal usage without any gaming 5) good UI - look and feel is good, you can also disable all the ads 6) camer is average - no issue , I am not a camera person 7) gaming - no idea - don't think it will support higher graphics games, but normal gaming won't be an issue. 8) fingerprint lock is very fast 9) screen is also good I'm satisfied. Gamers and camera people stay away.. For others it is a good phone without any lag or issues for normal usage.

A perfect gift for your parents. A complete package phone. Lacks performance, not good for young generation. It's kind of similar to realme 3 (yeah I know it's the sub brand of oppo) by the looks but, realme 3 has far more superior camera and processor when compared to this model. But looks and design wise both are similar. Writing this review after a month of hands on device. Pros: * Good battery life - lasts for 2.5 days of heavy usage and 1.5 days for normal usage (like WhatsApp, instagram) * Supports portable Hotspot for both bands, 2.5 ghz and 5ghz * Bought the blue color variant and it has stunning look when compared to the black color variant * Support dual 4g volte * Has an easy use smart UI * Back camera has 5x zoom, could take some good macroshot depending upon the lighting * Cellular reception is also good Cons: * It's still running on color os 6.x based on android 9 pie out of the box. I don't understand why, some device at this price or below are offering android 10. Android 11 betas are also out and still oppo is stuck with Android 9. * Front Camera is below average for indoor lighting conditions. Overall: * For this price range it's not bad, offering decent specs. * If you are not a geeky, photographic, gamer then you can buy this!

Camera not good

I have used 3 days with heavy load and it was very smooth good camera in this price no hang no ishu in this price segment one word nice phone ihave blue colour it looks nice in hand and light weight size is good display britness and volume is very nice and last word call quality is good oppo kkep it up no earfone in box very bad

I have purchased this phone for my father and he is happy with it so thanks to Amazon for quick delivery and OPpO. It is very smooth and handy But I have found few issues interns of phone performance. 1. Camera it is not good enough average type of pics. 2. Face detection speed is too low. 3. Finger sensor is not effective as it has 3GB RAM 4. For gaming purpose you cannot use this phone even it has 3 GB RAM .

I don't know what went wrong this time because I've ordered almost 7-8 electronic devices including laptops, mobile phones and tablets and every single one of them came just fine. However this time, I ordered this Oppo A12 and got a defective piece. Everything except the adapter is working, even the charging cable. When I tried to issue a replacement it said that this product is out of stock therefore I can't replace it. I would really thank the Amazon if they help me in some kind of way for the sake of my prime membership😂.
