Perfect for unwell gerbils
This was recommended by my exotic vet when my gerbils were unwell & needed a bit of extra support. They both LOVED it - it obviously tastes lovely to them (it smells decent when made), and it kept them both at a good weight which is essential for any recovery to take place. It's very easy to make, and mixes up very easily when water is added. Under the guidance of our vets, we also used this to supplement regular feeding long-term as a post-medication treat / bribe to make sure their medications stay in. If you've got gerbils and you've been recommended this, I highly recommend it. Occasionally larger bags are available so if you've got to use this long term, they'd make for better value for money.

Fab for poorly hamsters
This is an excellent product for poorly hamsters who due to various health conditions may need additional nourishment or easy to eat wet food. You mix it up using specific ratios of warm water to powder and then either spoon feed the hamster or use a syringe to give small amounts at a time. My exotic vet highly recommends this product for hamsters, although my vets actually sell it cheaper than Amazon - I only end up buying on Amazon if my vets have supply issues. It can be stored in the fridge once opened for a number of months. This must not be used as a substitute for seeking professional exotic vet advice when required - ideally you'd use it on the recommendation of your exotic vet.

If you know what it is, you know how good it is!
You only use this when there's a major problem with your animal. This was required to tube feed a hen for 2 weeks whilst she recovered from EYP. It kept her alive, kept her weight up and she recovered. It's really good stuff and I now keep it in my first aid kit for when I have an emergency. I also put it on subscribe and save. Most times the shelf life is only about 6 months, so I repeat it every 6 months and what I don't use, I discard - but having it there when you need it is really helpful on a critical situation and chickens make their ailments for ages until they can't any longer, so if you observe illness, it's not a 'now' thing, it's something that has got to a stage where they can no longer hide it. This stuff keeps them going when they've stopped eating - which is a classic symptom of illness. If they don't eat directly, get a colostrum feed tube (for lambs or other small mammals) and fed directly. If you've got chickens, there's good guidance on the internet - most importantly: don't over feed, never feed if the crop is full, and feed the tube into the crop until you can feel it in there and MARK the tube with a pen so you know how far to push it down the next times.

Very helpful in keeping birds/ animal alive
Honestly this is miracle stuff I gave it to sick recovering geese, chickens, pigeons, parrots, quails, ducks. And every time they bounce back. This is good to allow them to regain their weight. Smooth powder that turns into creamy paste. Perfect for syringe feeding. Even chicks in emergency. Ill always return to emeraid and keep the pouch in the fridge as a emergency " just on case" stock

Good stuff, expensive for what it is
I got this for my Campbell's dwarf hamster when his health started to deteriorate. It's fairly easy to mix and was readily accepted by him as an alternative to dry food. It's quite expensive and a small amount doesn't really go very far, but needs must – that's really only only criticism of the product.

Life saver!
This was purchased for a gerbil who had lost his top teeth and was struggling to eat anything. His weight had plummeted and we had run out of options. This product quite literally saved his life. He's happy to take it from a syringe and appears to enjoy eating it. His weight is now stable and he's managing to eat a few small bits here and there, but this is still a consistent, nutritionally balanced food for him to have as long as he needs it. Only a tiny amount is needed for a gerbil so it lasts a long time and is easy to mix for syringe feeding.

Life saver!
Life saver! My old rat Remi has to take medication twice a day he hates, it was driving us both crazy because he simply wouldn't take it. Last ditch effort and this works like a charm! I add some salmon oil to help hide the smell of the meds and he can't get enough!
