I just got a new laptop for my employeer and it got this new usb-c video port, that day i lost all my options to connect my DVI monitor, i only have DVI-HDMI cables on my house. I buy this one just to keep the option of using a second monitor at my house, was cheap, and had good reviews, was a no brainer. First, i was surprised when the cable arrived 1 week earlier, is not common that kind of speed to get something from amazon (i live in Colombia, South America, usually it takes more time), then i unboxed the cable (yes, it came in a pretty nice box for security and protection, nor a single bag with ziplock) and was amazex to find a pretty nice cable, it feels high quality, the connectors was pretty niice and i think it has some gold shower. The connection was without any issues and the image quality is great. The cable is not braided but iit feels very resistant and smooth at your hands, and the connector just stays in place. Is a very nice product.

I have a couple relatively ancient 22" HD monitors mounted above my garage worktable, handy for watching yeaux toob instructions for fixing things. The monitors have DVI and VGA inputs, the Surface has USB-C/TB5 external connections, so these cables easily allow it to push displays to the monitors. Handy, certainly inexpensive, they work for the assigned task. With a BT mouse and keyboard on an under-bench tray, makes for a decent workstation.

First let me state that I rarely write reviews. This cable is clearly a cut above most cables in quality, period. This is the third USB-C DVI cable that I have purchased. All of them worked initially, but with the prior ones, all "Amazon Choice" by the way, the cable quality left a lot to be desired. The first one never really worked that well, if you moved the laptop, or touched the cable, the video signal would die. The second cable worked for about a month and then the same spotty signal started to occur whenever I moved or even touched the laptop. Finally the connection just quit working. This time I looked long and hard at the reviews and the quality of the cable. This cable has solid hard plastic at the USB-C connection end which the other's did not have. The hard plastic appears to prevent breaking the internal physical connection from the wire to the connector when/if it flexes whenever you move it. I am very happy with the purchase and rarely write reviews as I stated above, but had to this time since waiting for a cable to come is a pain, causes lost productivity , which in turn cost you money, if you use your computer to make a living.

Works great! I have an old monitor and wanted to use it as a second screen. I literally just plugged the usb c part to my laptop then the other end on my old monitor. No setup needed. Great price too!

This is a type c to dvi cable. If you need a type c to dvi cable at a good price, boy howdy is this the cable for you. Don’t think about it. Just buy it. It’s not going to buy itself and jump in a box and ship itself to you. It’s a cable. That would be an unrealistic expectation. You have hands(statistically probable) with which to click buttons and input cc information etc. Do you see where I’m going with this? You are the key to this whole process. Go forth, hero and purchase this cable as the oracle advised lest our exalted lands fall once again into darkness and turmoil. We can not allow King Bakklower to obtain this cable. The one true cable. I fear what may come of Jowyha should he. So, hero, once again, our fate and the fate of all of Lloer lie in your hands. Godspeed. It’s a good cable.

Through no fault of its own (that’s why I give it five stars), this didn’t work for my computer. (But no other usb-c to dvi cable would either ). Read on for a way to tell in advance if it will, and for an alternative that will probably work. Your computer MUST support “DisplayPort alt mode” through its USB-C port. The manual probably says it, but not always. It’ll be hit or miss luck of the draw if it doesn’t explicitly say USB C with display port alt mode. (My computer said “thunderbolt with display port alt mode” but did NOT say usb type c with display port alt mode. In my case, what I have to do, is a USB A to HDMI plus an HDMI to DVI cable. To be safe make sure the dvi cable mentions dvi-d and dual-link dvi and the resolution you’re hoping for. The highest resolutions may not be possible. But keeping our almost antique monitors with dvi ports only is hard work!

Muito bom acabamento. Funcionou muito bem. Só me enganei na medida, pois o tamanho que comprei, deixou ele muito esticado, pela disposição física dos meus equipamentos de Home Office. mas foi um erro meu na seleção da medida. Recomendo.
