I got this for sanding and polishing custom resin dice, and for that purpose it is very good, as its highest speed is roughly equivalent to the slowest speed of a conventional pottery wheel, which is what I needed. That use case is what my review reflects, not its intended purpose. Attach a 6" glass round to it, put on sandpaper using painter's tape, and you're good to go, with the added bonus that pressing too hard will stop the motor entirely, keeping you from damaging your resin (it's not a bug, it's a feature!).As a pottery wheel, however, I doubt it would be very good. It doesn't go fast enough to properly throw clay, the platform is not sturdy enough for shaping, and you aren't supposed to use water when working clay, as it lacks a drainage system or reservoir.

Horrible product. My daughter was so excited fir this but it was so difficult to operate. She watched videos to learn how to make pottery but this machine was hard for all of us to use. She was so frustrated bc she couldnt make anythingPlease shop around and dont purchase this

Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. Doesn’t work at all. Stalls out as soon as you put any pressure on the wet clay. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Hours of fun my children love using this to make family members gifts but beware it is messy!

Easy to use. It’s a great and cheap starter for getting into pottery. It can be messy but also fun activity

Don't waste your money. The smallest amount of pressure stopped it from spinning. It went into the trash.

The motor is not strong enough to mold the clay. Just by applying a light pressure to the clay, the motor stopped moving. Very disappointed of this product.

First off, this was a gift for my daughter from "Santa". It was shipped a s delivered not in a box so my daughter saw it! Not good!😤Second, this is cheaply made and not sturdy or strong enough.
