Great as an otoscope that you can use on yourself. When I was in kindergarten, I fell asleep outside and had the unfortunate luck of waking up to a scratching noise in my ear....after much convincing, my mom finally brought me to the doctor who looked inside of my ear, and confirmed my worst fear--a silverfish was making itself at home in there. Needless to say, I tend to be a bit paranoid about feelings in my ear and always assume the worst case scenario. If the camera ever appears foggy or less than clear, clean the lens as instructed and you should be as good as new. Having this be a self-contained unit and not require the use of my phone with a separate app to use is a big plus in my opinion and one of the reasons I purchased. This camera scope is very functional, provides a clear picture, and gives me peace of mind--totally worth it. There is a bit of a learning curve, but becomes easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Buy it. It's everything it says it is. Seriously. Just buy it.

The image is very clear on the screen. You can see clearly even with the black exam scope tips attached. I left the scope on for at least 10 minutes to see if the light would get too hot for my ear. I thought maybe I noticed only a very mild warmth on my finger from the light after 10 minutes, but I was still able to put the scope in my ear, touching all the sides of my ear, and not feel any difference in my ear canal. Only con: once you attach a cleaning tip on the end of the scope and insert into your ear canal, you cannot see what the tip is touching before it makes contact. I touched the tympanic membrane several times and winced before I realized I was not going to be able to see or feel how far into my ear canal the cleaning tip was. I do not recommend using the tips for cleaning out your ear canal if you are using the camera to try and visualize ear wax at the same time.

Very easy to use, and the picture is clear. I have used it to inspect a cavity in my teeth even! The light is perfect to illuminate dark places. Been using it for years and it is like brand new. I love that I didn't have to download an app to use it.

At a price tag of above $60, you'd expect a quality product. This otoscope delivers and definitely impressed me the second I opened it. The portable display is HIGH QUALITY, and I was really surprised as to how good it feels. It's solid, you definitely feel like you paid a premium price for a premium product. I'm typically cautious of these products but this one checks off all the boxes you're looking for. 1. It has a very professional / medical grade feel with the accessories coming in sanitation bottles with alcohol wipes included. (accessories include ear wax scrapers and scopes). 2. The digital camera is sturdy and high quality. Premium feel, even the packaging felt like opening a new phone. 3. VERY easy use and it's literally plugged and use. Self-explanatory, don't need a manual. I know that most people that buy this will be using it to clean their ears. Let's just cut to the chase: Look no further, this product does exactly what I know you're trying to do. You can go ahead and dig in your ears with the scrapers attached and scrape away ear wax. The difficulty in this has nothing to do with the product, but it just depends on how good you are at navigating the camera and scraper -- hand eye coordination. It works, I did what you're trying to do with this product, and my ears feel pretty good afterwords. Definitely 5 stars, no regrets.

I purchased this device on May 5, 2024. While it did take a little bit of practice to get used to the “gyroscope” technology, overall it was very easy to use and the pictures I was taking of the inside my ear along with following a skin rash with images, were of EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY! (The only thing I would have changed if it was available, was a Bluetooth camera.) That would have been the “icing on the cake”. I highly recommended this to my peers, and I believe resulted in at least one purchase. Fast Forward: Everything was perfect until it wasn’t…. I don’t recall the exact date, but somewhere around late Nov 2024 to early Dec 2024, (same year it was purchased) it spontaneously developed a “fuzzy, semi-blind spot” which unfortunately was at an area of the screen, and was large enough, it obscured the images to the point of it being useless. As that was an extremely busy time of the year and I needed a replacement FAST, I did not really have the time to contact the company or customer support to discuss having it replaced, and not wanting to spend the $$ again for only approx 7-8 months of use. So I did the unthinkable and ordered an inexpensive, “cheap”, < $20 version used for ear cleaning. **And I can say, I am completely over it!!!! I am going to replace my ScopeAround and hopefully there is a Bluetooth option available for the camera now. I will reach out to the company before placing my order and will post an update if the company responds positively. I am “trusting I just received a lemon” and if so I do highly recommend this device. BUT, if these only typically last around 3/4 of a year, it is a cost prohibitive option. And to clarify, there was absolutely no damage done to the device in the few months I had it, and it was always stored indoors at room temperature.
