Simplicity 1823 Simplicity sewing pattern designed by Sara Trail includes a back pack, messenger bag and shoulder bag, great for back to school and on the go. Designed with Love by Sara. One Size. Review: Good basic patterns. - This is a good pattern for basic shapes. The Hobo bag is really easy to make. The Messenger bag is a little more complicated because the instructions are not as clear (they use the term facing on the flap instead of lining) but if you take it slow and use you own logic it works out nicely. I haven't made the Backpack yet. I cut out my pattern pieces and iron them onto waxed paper so that they have more body, then I have some standard pattern pieces I can modify later if I want to and they don't tear every time I use them. Oh, how I wish pattern companies would use stronger paper. Review: Expensive - Very expensive pattern. But I couldn’t find one here, so I had to pay the price.

Good basic patterns.

Expensive
Very expensive pattern. But I couldn’t find one here, so I had to pay the price.

Loved this!
Pattern arrived promptly. Have made the rucksack adapted the pattern slightly to make padded straps. My daughter absolutely loves it!
