Worked on damaged solar string light cord
I managed to destroy about 5 feet of power cord on a set of solar powered string lights, hit the cord with my weed wacker. The power of the weed wacker managed to pull the male end of the plug assembly out. Threw it somewhere but I couldn't find it. Order this set of replacement plugs and used one of the male ends to patch in to my existing cord. Worked fine. The existing cord on my lights was much lighter gauge, 22AWG, but the connection worked by just stripping some insulation from both wires and twisting them together. Before connecting the wires I place heat shrink tubing on both individual wires and a larger piece over both of the wires. Used a propane torch on the heat shrink and all is well. The connection is waterproof and the light work just like original. Recommended.

Excellent quality waterproof connectors
Excellent quality, nice tight waterproof seal at connector heads. Perfect for my marine application. I will buy these again!

Useful connector. Not super high quality.
These connectors are useful for general light use but don't hold up to repetitive connect and disconnect cycles. I believe the low quality pin and socket contacts inside are the weak point that break down and become intermittent. Price is good, so at least you have spares if/when they fail. I would not consider them submersible "underwater" connectors and I wish the leads were longer.

worked but probably should have picked another option
item worked for my needs but the wires are a bit too big for my Christmas lights. I made it work instead of returning. I'd buy a smaller gauge next time. Another issue is the adapter has to be the first light in the series, otherwise the connection won't link to my other lights. They are a bit different from each other.

Good solution for a very specific need
This product allowed me to save a $50 holiday decoration, that I have 5 of so now have backup for future issues.

Nice wire waterproof connectors
I used these waterproof connectors on a diy project box I was building. They worked perfectly and seem to connect very securely to one another. I would also recommend purchasing the PG7 cable gland to go with these connectors. You can see these cable glands in my screenshot that are installed on my diy project box on the right side of the screenshot. They are tight fitting and provide a waterproof surrounding around the wire of the waterproof connector. I plan on purchasing again for my next project.
