Gildan Adult Reusable Everyday Mask with Ear Loops

I bought these masks on brand name reputation. Gildan makes good and popular t-shirts so I felt comfortable knowing these would be made well. As expected, they are. Sewn well, soft, quality material. Great deal, 24 for $18 which would give me enough to last until I do laundry without being price gouged. They wash really well too. They are 100% cotton but the shrinkage was minimal in hot water and dryer and like all cotton fabrics, stretch with use. The mask fits well but the ear loops were snug. After using a while, they fit fine and I didn’t even feel the mask on me. It covers under the chin and sides and it sits high on the nose so no falling down. I did, however, get really hot! This is a couple of layers of cotton against your face. It’s a little difficult to breath through the mask but it gets easier as you wear it. I don’t mind since it is tightly woven which helps resist droplet transferring. That said, yes it did steam my glasses at times but not badly and not constantly. We have to wear them, and these are great.

I was really surprised that you get 24 high quality reusable masks for only $5. They are on the larger side but you could find a way to adjust the ear loops if you had to. The mask part is larger than most, and covers everything. It feels a lot safer and it doesnt ride down when you talk because of it. The material is very light and breathable, and yet doesnt feel cheaply made at all. I got these to customize with fabric paint mostly, and it works great!

Can’t beat the price. I ordered these as where I live it’s up to the building if they require masks or not. Having this many, I can keep some in my bag or in my truck Incase I need them or anyone around me needs one. As an adult male, these fit ok. I did wash them in cold water and air dried them but they still shrank significantly. I also have a medium beard, and while these do fit me even after washing, the masks are kind of small (My beard has some to do with that, I know.) It will serve its purpose if I have to wear one. Not sure how comfortable (or effective) these are if you had to wear them, say in an airport for several hours since they are cotton. It feels like wearing a sock across your face. It’s kind of weird.

This masks are good for the value. Its cotton, soft, and light weight. It’s way better than most of the masks I have used before. The only time I have difficulty with this mask is when my breathing is super fast, mask kinda feels like it’s getting stuck on lips but other than that during normal breathing, talking etc it is great. It also doesn’t smear your makeup so much on the mask, you won’t even notice. With other mask I put it on and after sometime when I remove the mask, I can see how dirty it looks due to mask up stains but with this mark you will never notice any stains or get embarrassed infront of people lol. Overall It’s a great mask. I have lot of them for very less price but once I am out I will definitely buy it again.

Masks doesn’t stay fitted around the ears.

At the beginning of summer I purchased the Fruit of the Loom 3 layer masks. They are super comfortable and way better than any home made mask I have (but still kudos to homemade mask-makers for taking up the task to get us all covered!). But then I saw these and decided to give them a go, mostly because they're black and match my work uniform much better (wasn't an option in Fruit of the Loom). And OH MY WOW... I love love LOVE THESE MASKS! They are SO comfortable. It's that same comfort as brand new socks... Or new underwear (cough cough, no pun intended), or hotel sheets. It's like being swaddled (without feeling claustrophobic). I seriously don't mind it being on my face all day. And it doesn't sit on my nose and mouth like the FOTL brand. The mask sits up off your face kind of. There is a seem that goes where your nose is. I also have the mouth and nose mask cage looking thing, and this mask works well with it. The only issue I have is that in the days when I'm at work by myself and the mask goes on and off all day long depending on customer traffic, there is an actual upside to these, which is hard to figure out in a hurry. So I took a white paint marker and made a dot on the top so I can see which end is up more easily and don my mask in a quick manner.

I found out my younger daughter is allergic to disposable masks and her school requires solid colored masks. Bought these for her to try and they are the most comfortable out of the three brands we tried. The fruit of the Loom ones were very rough and thick even after washing (we bought them directly from their website), the Hanes (from Walmart) were too thick to wear all day for school. These masks are a bit big for her but she ties a knot on one of the ear loops and it fits fine. These masks are not thin but not too thick to be uncomfortable for an all day wear. They are also soft and do not irritate the skin. 10/4/2021 Update: I purchased these masks from three different sellers. The masks were great from two of the sellers but from one of them, I had to toss the whole batch. They looked fine out of the bag, soft and clean. However, when I hand washed them, fabric "dust" (as if the fabric was decaying) and tiny round black dots that looked like dead bed bugs were in the water. I rinsed the masks six times, and each time had the same amount of dust and black dots. I didn't want to waste them but couldn't risk using them either. However, the other two batches worked out great. 10/23/2021 I have tossed the other two batches I purchased due to tiny threads coming off into the water when I washed them. I don't want to risk my daughters and I breathing in the threads throughout the day.

All I can say is it meets the guidelines of wearing a mask. You still need to follow social distancing, etc. I needed a large package of mask because my husband works in public and is required to wear a mask and he's not always the greatest about getting all the things he needs washed into the laundry basket before returning to work after his days off. Plus I like keeping a few in a ziploc bag in my glove box incase I end up needing to make a pit stop and needing a mask. It's literally like wearing a tshirt on your face, it's not medical grade, but it fits the purpose of the new standards of life. Obviously wash them when you get them, you should wash all clothing before wearing it, air dry to prevent shrinkage. It's comfortable and far more breathable than other mask, which is important to me since I have asthma.

I was pleasantly surprised with these masks. I bought them for an outdoor event to have extra on hand. They fit well on most people's face, if you have a smaller face they may be a bit loose. For the price they are excellent, I am planning to buy more to have as extras over the winter.

They do shrink and are smaller than some other masks, which is what I was looking for. Fits a small adult and 10 year old child and up. I liked that it was black on both sides. Not the most comfortable material but can’t beat the price for that many reusable masks.

You definitely can't beat the value of these masks, however I was disappointed by how large the ear loops were. I later realized I should have looked for masks with adjustable ear straps. The masks themselves were generally too large (I bought medium) but they shrunk a bit when I put them through the wash which helped a bit. Really, the ear loops are the most annoying aspect: I would need to adjust and stitch each loop (there's 25 masks so 50 straps to fix....). Although the value is seriously great, I think I would recommend starting with adjustable masks before taking a risk with these.

I have washed these masks several times and they still look and feel like new. Just remember to hang them to dry and you won’t be disappointed. They are soft and comfortable to wear.
