Why do these arrive in plastic cases with a hole on 1 end that you cant hang them using? If you hang using the hole,the ruler falls out?

I don’t think the hole is for hanging. The plastic sleeve is to protect the ruler edges and printed marks from scuffs and scrapes, and the hole is to let a bit of air in so it’s easier to slide the ruler into and out of the sleeve.

Will these ruler stick to magnet? I am looking the stainless steel that can attract to magnet.

Yes these rulers are made of a magnetic stainless steel. They are excellent quality. I am very pleased with my set of four.

Are the marks etched on both side not just printed?

They are etched, and on both sides. These are a very nice set of Stainless steel rulers. I am completely satisfied with my 4 piece set from this seller.
