Love this product
Myself and my family have definitely noticed a difference afterusing the filter. We live in London and after reading a couple of reviews was a bit worried we wouldn’t notice a difference but we certainly did. Very easy to install, water is a lot more softer, skin feels so much better and softer it looks nice, aesthetically, no issues with the water flow or any leakages and the quality is very good

Easy installation and softer hair
Definitely recommend this item. It lasts a long time and certainly helped my hair. I have just switched to more natural shampoos so my hair was struggling to adjust, but this water filter definitely helped. My hair is surprisingly very soft, even without using hair mask or oil which is what I used to use just to cope with my dry hair. And it doesn't even look out of place

Good filtration!
I recently installed the Philips Water In-Line Shower Filter and am thrilled with the results! This filter effectively reduces chlorine by up to 99%, making my shower experience significantly more pleasant. The difference in water quality is noticeable; my skin feels softer and less dry after showers, and my hair is noticeably smoother and shinier. Installation was a breeze — it fits all standard hoses and taps, and I was able to set it up in just a few minutes without any special tools. The sleek design of the filter blends well with my bathroom decor, and I appreciate that it doesn’t take up much space. I also love the long-lasting performance of the filter. It provides great value for money, considering how much it improves the overall quality of my shower water. If you’re looking for an easy way to enhance your shower experience and protect your skin and hair from harsh chemicals, I highly recommend the Philips Water In-Line Shower Filter!

Amazing for hard water, but READ THIS if the filter is stuck closed!
I bought this to protect my hair and skin from hard water, and it works brilliantly! However, I saw a lot of reviews from people saying they couldn't get the top of the filter open to put the cartridge in or change it. It can be incredibly stiff right out of the box, but don't panic. The ultimate trick to open it: If the metal casing won't budge, run the top part of the filter under hot tap water (or dip it in a mug of boiling water) for about 30 seconds. The heat expands the metal slightly and loosens the factory seal. Grab it with a dry towel for extra grip, and it will twist right open! Also, a heads-up if your old shower hose is stuck tightly due to limescale: when you twist it off, the internal plastic tube might slide out of its metal sleeve. If that happens, just dip the plastic tube in hot water for 30 seconds to make it soft and stretchy, push the brass connector piece back in until it's flush, and slide the metal sleeve back up. It fits perfectly now, there are zero leaks. Now I’ll just have to see the results over time on my hair and skin, but I’m so excited! Deffo recommend it!

Does not filter in London - chlorine and hard water level remained same
I PURCHASED THE FILTER WITH MY OWN MONEY AND HAVE NO AFFILIATION TO THIS OR ANY OTHER AMAZON SELLERS. Do not buy if you actually have skin condition or dry hair and live in London or anywhere where water is treated with chloramine - it will not filter any chlorine from your water. I USED THIS FILTER FOR WEEKS BEFORE WRITING THIS REVIEW. When using this filter, I still continued to have the burning sting I receive from chlorinated water on the area of my skin with my eczema flareup. I then purchased two separate water quality tests to check chlorine level, PH and water hardness. I also tested normal water straight from the tap in my house and distilled water (as a control). Now although I used 2 separate tests, I conducted each test 3 times. The straight from tap water and ‘filtered’ water produced the same result for chlorine and hardness, the only difference was PH. The distilled water had different results, showing me that the test actually worked (but the filter didn’t). The filter uses ‘KDF’ but it does not mention which KDF media it uses. I suspect it is KDF 55 as KDF 55 can only filter water where only chlorine is used but not where ammonia is added to the chlorine to treat water (to make the treatment last longer), as is the case in London and many cities in UK (and around the world). That is why many other filters you can purchase that use KDF 55 also include vitamin C, carbon or other similar layers (to provide greater filtration). Some even use KDF 85, which also filters chlorine compounds like chloramine. I emailed the support email to ask what other filters they had - they refused to answer. I then asked on Amazon for anyone who had used the product for at least a month to confirm whether it worked - the seller removed my question! It does look okay and I where it’s placed on a mixer. Negative points: 1. Does not filter much of the water we use in homes in cities. 2. Difficult to remove (I had to replace it with one from another company that actually works). 3. Difficult to change filters - I tried to open it once it took it out and found it too difficult. 4. Getting information about it was difficult as my question was fraudulently removed and no one answered my emails. Good things: 1. Easy installed 2. Easy to purchase filter replacements There are filters out there that I have found to work for my water supply - improve the softness and quality of the water. My skin and hair can attest to that.

Reduced skin irritation.
I live in an area of very hard water which causes skin irritation. I looked at several devices to deal with this and settled for Phillips' version. It seems to be working with noticeable reduction in skin irritation. It is solidly made and is straightforward to use install and use (just turn on the shower as usual). It is very presentable and looks efficient. But ... To install it has to be opened and this not easy. It was hard work to separate the top from the bottom to access the filter inside. I avoided using tools to avoid scratching the filter. Anyone with poor grip will struggle and may need help. Once opened the renewable filter itself must be removed. I had to resort to the careful use of a pair of pliers. Once done it was comparatively easy to reassemble and install. I am not looking forward to replacing the internal filter.

Indifferent.
Purchased this as my son is struggling badly with eczema at the moment and a few people have mentioned the high chlorine levels in local water and how filters have really helped them so I figured we would lose nothing by trying this and Philips tends to be a well known / reputable brand. Its a neat bit of kit and super easy to install. We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and my son says he feels like the water stings his skin less but overall it doesn’t seem to have made any physical difference. Obviously I have no way of knowing whether thats just because water isn’t a contributing factor or whether the filter just isn’t very effective. Compared to some of the filters out there this is reasonably priced.

Just buy it don’t overthink it.
It’s been a couple of months now since I purchased this. I spent hours researching and looks for a good enough filter that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Most of the filter shower heads reviews and stars are actually about the shower head itself and water pressure or look, nothing about the actual filter. From day 2 my hair felt softer.. no need to detangle anymore. Now after time I can notice the difference in my skin. It’s actually shocking to see what we become used to without this filter and think it’s ok. YOUR HAIR AND SKIN DOES NOT NEED TO FEEL THE WAY IT DOES. This was a great investment. Asking as this product exists, I will keep buying it. My only annoyance is that I did buy it years ago. It’s changed my hair and skin for the better. That real holiday feeling you have when your abroad and your hair and skin feels amazing.. well turns out you can have it at home too.

Differenza reale su pelle e capelli, installazione in 2 minuti
In sintesi: semplice, efficace e senza complicazioni. Uno di quei prodotti che non fanno rumore… ma migliorano davvero la routine.

Great solution for hard water in Berlin, noticeable difference for hair and skin
Living in Berlin, where the tap water is very hard and heavily chlorinated, I had been experiencing problems with my hair and scalp for quite some time. After showering, my hair often felt dry, stiff, and dull, and my scalp became irritated. While searching for a shower filter, I came across the Philips Water Inline Shower Filter and decided to give it a try. Installation was very simple and only took a few minutes without needing any special tools. It connected easily to my existing shower hose. One very important thing to know before installation: there are protective caps/plugs on both the water inlet and outlet of the filter. Make sure to remove them before installing the filter, otherwise the water flow will not work properly. This is easy to miss if you install it quickly. From the first use, the water already felt softer, and I immediately noticed that the strong chlorine smell from hot water was significantly reduced. After using it for a few weeks, I could clearly notice improvements. My hair feels less dry and rough after showering, and my scalp irritation has decreased. It is not a miracle product, but the difference is definitely noticeable with regular use. Another big advantage is that the water pressure remains strong, which is often a problem with other shower filters. The build quality feels premium, as expected from Philips, and the compact design looks clean and modern in the bathroom. The 50,000-liter filter capacity gives confidence for long-term use, and including a replacement cartridge is a nice bonus. Pros: * Very easy installation * Noticeably reduces chlorine smell * Hair and skin feel softer after showering * Maintains good water pressure * High-quality materials and compact design * Includes a replacement cartridge Cons: * In areas with extremely hard water, results may become more noticeable over time rather than instantly * You need to keep track of filter replacement intervals yourself Overall, I think this is a very useful product, especially for people living in cities with hard water like Berlin. I would definitely recommend it to anyone dealing with dry hair, scalp irritation, or sensitive skin caused by tap water.

Easy to fit, not heavy, shower water filter
Very easy to fit. I attached it to the shower mixer, with no issues. I didn't see much reduction in the flow. So, looking forward to seeing how it improves over time (I will update in a month).

OK tylko odkręcić trudno
Działa, wygląda ładnie. Pierwsze odkręcenia przed montażem koszmar, musiałem użyć klucza nastawnego przez ręcznik.
