Sodium Hydroxide - Pure - Food Grade (Lye, Caustic Soda) (10 Pounds)

This sodium hydroxide is a must have; I cannot make my cold process soap without it. It is a good price. It comes sealed in an extra layer of plastic wrap. It has a locked lid, just like medicines. I find the size very convenient. I usually buy the 5 quantity pack, and it is cheaper. It dissolves easily in distilled water. The packaging addresses safety concerns.

This is the only lye I have been ordering for my business. I had no problems with it, I always make great soap with it. As any lye one has to take safety precautions, I use gloves all the time. All in all this a reliable product, it may be on the pricier end compared to other brands but I like how it has been performing so far.

I use this product to make lye for my homemade tallow soap. I have looked around and for the price and quality this is the best.

I have ordered these at least three times for my soap making. Previously had a 30 lb. container from a local store. and had to be careful with the "lye dust" when refilling smaller amounts for use each time. These are really nice because of their size -- and I feel less concerned because they are easy to store on a shelf, away from little ones, possible water, etc. The quality is great.

Well packaged. I appreciate the protective plastic wrap on the bottles for safe handling. Bead lye is so much easier to work with, dissolves much better than flake, and safer than the powder. Sealed well and the bulk price is competitive. Excellent customer service cannot be overstated! A neighbor mistakenly took my package, I thought it was stolen and reached out to Belle for a replacement. My package ended up being returned so no remedy needed but I really appreciate the quick response and willingness to refund/replace without much back and forth. I will definitely be buying from this seller again.
