As a child, the idea of eating sardines was absolutely repugnant to me. It's only been in the last 25 or 30 years that I started to eat these Beach Cliff Wild Caught Fish Steaks in Soybean Oil. If you research it, you'll find that these cold water sardines are exceptionally good for you, in addition to tasting good and being reasonably priced. I try to eat a can of these at least once a week for lunch. Give 'em a try, what do you have to lose? (Beside a few pounds!)

More meaty & pleasant to eat than sardines as there are very few bones & skin. More actual fish flesh. The mustard flavor is not too strong or spicy.

I started buying these Beach Cliff bite size herring more than 25 years ago at the old Big Lots stores. They had a better quality product back then with neatly sliced green peppers. I used to pick these up for $.80 cents a tin back then. This latest shipment from Amazon had a large amount of green peppers put into each tin but the peppers are all mashed up, not neatly sliced like they used to be. I have not seen 12 pack cases of this Beach Cliff variety sold on Amazon in ages. I could still buy these at Walmart but the amount of green chilies they would put in each tin was a joke, almost nothing at all. I found a great deal on Amazon so I ordered 5 cases of this fish product. I started eating sardines regularly for health reasons. These are an excellent health food and I never eat more than 3 tins a week of sardines. If you you can find these Beach Cliff varieties on sale at Amazon it would be a good idea to stock up on these healthy nutritious fish snacks. I really prefer the flavor of these bite size herring over the other Beach Cliff 3 sardine to a tin variety.

Absolutely delicious fish steaks. When I'm looking for sardines and fish steaks I look for Beech Cliff, as they have absolute top notch results and flavors.

As of JULY 2025, the current batch has rotten fish. I have been eating various varieties of the Beach Cliff fish steaks and sardines for at least 5 years as part of my healthy protein intake and have generally been happy with them. With that in mind, when I saw a pretty good price on these during Prime Day, I decided to stock up. However, the fish in the cans I received this time were rotten, spoiled and obviously unsafe for consumption. Amazon customer service was courteous and helpful with resolving the issue so I suspect the problem lies with Beach Cliff.
