Great for teaching cause and effect
This is a wonderful book for teaching about cause and effect. Just one incident at the beginning of the book produces a domino effect of events. The drawings are very detailed and brightly colored. I brought this book in to share with a class I worked in. The teacher was very impressed with constant stream of effects that she went home and ordered it on Amazon. I watched as she read it to the class. This class was struggling with "this event caused this to happen." The kids were captivated by the book. They really liked the craziness that ensued on the pages. It totally helped with the teaching of cause and effect. The only warning I'll give is this is a European book. It takes place in Paris. There is a page where there is a jail break and weapons are drawn. I know some schools may frown upon such a page being shown to elementary school kids. Luckily our school isn't a public school with lots of PC laws.

Cute book
I like the idea of this story and all the colors. It gets a little weird at times, but all and all I would recommend it.

Oops- great children's book
My kids love the book. The story is only part of the book. The illustrations are complex and add so much more. They love hearing it and then going through each page to see what is happening.

beautiful book I gift to all the little ones
A big beautiful fun book that makes a great birthday gift for a toddler. Joelle Jolivet make great kids books. This one is lifesize for a toddler.

I bought this book as my students had enjoyed '365 Penguins' so much
I bought this book as my students had enjoyed '365 Penguins' so much. The illustrations in this book are great and the idea about a bar of soap creating such problems is brilliant. The problem is that the story about the catastrophy building up is quite difficult for the children to follow (as the words only explain what the family is doing) and it is only fully explained at the back. I found that when I came to read it to my students there was a lot of extra explaining needed.

Intriguing and a perfect gift
This book is super! 2 year old and 6 year old both love it equally. Perfect gift, I'd say from birth to newly independent readers. There's so much to see and interpret, it's a real wet weather book.

Lost in translation
Love the illustration, but the story is very strange. Lovely quality big book and bright and detailed pictures, but reading aloud just confused me and my son!

Lovely but too big
Book ilustrations were great but I think it would have been better at half the size with fold out pages as very difficult to hold.

Entertaining for all ages
My baby girl loves the bright block colours in this book and I love the almost impossible to follow sub-plot! I've bought this as a gift for a 2 year old, 4 year old and an 8 month old and they've all loved it.
