I found the mower heavy to remove from the box as I was on my own. I cut one of the sides from the box and simply wheeled it easily onto my patio. I removed the batteries and charger first and set them off charging whilst I went back to tackle the assembly. The picture leaflet that was enclosed with the manual was not very easy for me to follow and the figs. were not very clear especially for the drawing of the locking mechanism. I was however, able to construct the mower fairly quickly after searching and watching a very helpful YouTube Video. There are not many components to assemble - it’s mainly the upper handles and the collection box but it was important to know how to lock and unlock the handles for folding to store and unfolding to use. The batteries were very easy to understand and took approx. 3 hours to fully charge to the 3 static green indicator lights - all very straightforward. Start Procedure: The batteries were very easy to insert into the top compartment of the mower and after about 15 minutes scratching my head I managed to figure out how to get the blade to engage. It is all down to pressing the start button and pulling the levers in the correct sequence. 1). Press the start button 2). Pull the outer lever towards the handle whilst keeping the start switch pressed - this engages the motor + the blade. 3). Push the lever that’s next to your body towards the handle and the self propulsion kicks in. I have the speed set at a very gentle beginners snail pace. My grass was very long and tufty as this was the first cut to be attempted since the beginning of November so I set the cutting height to 5 and the mower cut through it all very cleanly. I found the mower very easy to manoeuvre around the garden and I was able to cut most of the grass before the batteries died after approx 40 mins. I have a very large rear garden and I didn’t expect the batteries to last to the end of the first cut. I easily folded and packed the mower away and I am very impressed that the undercarriage is clearly accessible to clear and clean before storage. I set the batteries back on the charger with the intention of picking up where I left off the next day. Day 2 and I tackled the front grass first. The mower started like a dream and 20 minutes later I have the front completely mown. Moving to tackle the remaining grass at the rear I was able to cut the main area of uncut grass before the batteries stopped - probably another 20 minutes. This just leaves me with a 10’ verge of long grass to cut on the right hand side which will probably take another 20 minutes after the batteries re-charge. Unfortunately the rain has returned today (Day3) so I will tackle the verge on the next dry day. The cut grass looks great. The mower has made the job very easy and I am confident that future cuts will take half the time and probably just one charge of the batteries on a lower height setting. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Was initially sceptical about this mower but bit the bullet given it was on sale. Overall, very impressed with its build quality and performance. I don’t have a huge lawn, however a sizeable garden for a new build. This mower provides more than enough power and battery life to cut my lawn, usually getting two cuts out of one charge. The mower is reasonably lightweight and manoeuvrable for its size and the cordless, self propelled features makes it easy to use (even for a beginner). It was easy to assemble out of the box, no tools required. It stores easily and compact. The variable cutting heights are also very useful. The only minor downside is that this mower could be a lot more compact than it is. There is a lot of wasted space in the battery housing which is arguably a design flaw. It’s as if they’ve tried to design this mower to look like a petrol mower, which is a minor gripe given the performance. I would recommend to someone looking for a mower with the above features. The battery’s can also be used interchangeably with Greenworks other tools, which is a bonus. Note, the batteries are charged via USB-C which comes with the mower. A dual battery charger mount would have been a nice touch.

Firstly I'd say that this is a great product. I like that it charges pretty quickly (2-3 hours from zero) and although it's a heavy machine, it's easy to move around and to store standing up. Its claim of cutting very large lawns up to 480m2 is certainly optimistic. The first time I had it out it managed around 80m2 but, to be fair, the grass was long and a little damp and I was using the self propulsion. Since then I've used it, pushing mostly, on shorter, drier grass and and have managed probably getting on for 200m2 using 2/3 of the battery. That's not so bad because when I've done those two or three lawns, I'm ready for a rest before completing the remainder! Very pleased I bought this and would do so again. It's probably as heavy as my petrol hover mower but much easier to use and move around which, in my advancing years, is a great advantage. Having the power drive is good to help getting up the slopes and in a few awkward places but it's no problem mostly pushing and saving the power for cutting. Being so easy to use means I'll cut more often which will improve both it's efficiency and the look of my lawns. Why not 5*? For me a thing has to be near perfect to achieve that, not just in the top 20%, but I'd happily give it 4.5 if it were an option.

This mower is a beast!!! I am gobsmackingly impressed!!!! I have attached pics of my garden during the massacre of the beast(Arnie) on my lawn. I honestly did not think that Arnie would be able to cut the lawn with the grass being so high and thick, I had almost resigned myself that I would probably need to strim it down some first. Well I stand corrected! Arnie went through that grass like a knife to butter...literally. I had the height of the blade on a 7, but then lowered it to a 4, and well he just ploughed straight through it at that lower height as well. I then went over it again on a 3, this lawn is very uneven, so I stuck to the 3 setting. I guess some of you maybe wondering why I have such a beast of a mower for a medium size garden? I am only at this house for a couple of months then I move back to my place, which has 3/4 of an acre for a back garden, and I have no doubt in my mind that "Arnie" will make mince meat of that garden too. I am a 60yr woman, and I found this mower so easy to use, the propeller option for going up steeper parts is fab....once you get use to it. The grass box didn't need emptying until I had finished both lawns, so it holds a massive amount of grass. Overall Arnie is something you need if you have a med/large garden, life is so much easier with him doing the grass. Like I said grass box holds a massive amount. The self propeller option is a massive bonus in my book. I found him super easy to clean, and will admit....he is very easy on the eye....caught a couple of my neighbours side eyeing him while he massacred the totally over grown lawn. Both batteries were on a 1 when I checked, but not once did Arnie slow down or show any signs of losing power throughout cutting 2 x lawns. I charged the batteries before using, I'd say took about 2.5hours to fully charge. I won't charge them again, until the night before I will be dusting Arnie off again to do his thing. Very highly recommended, yes the mower is expensive but you get what you pay for....a beast! and in Arnies famous words.....he'll be back...time and time again.

It's still early days (I've only used it twice), so if my thoughts change, I'll try and remember to amend my review. But so far, so great. Initial unboxing and setup was a minor chore. I don't think the instructions were the clearest and it's pretty heavy and big. I found a YouTube video that helped a fair bit. Basically amounted to snipping the couple of cable ties (but not all. A couple are handy for keeping some cords in place) tying the top part of the handle to the bottom, lifting the back flap, hooking the grass catcher on (it's harder when the handles are unfolded and locked in place), unscrew the screws on the side of the bottom part of the handles so you can align and screw in the top part (you don't need tools, it came with the necessary tool), then there are some clips near the base of the lawnmower you pull out and rotate to allow you to move and then lock in place the assembled handle. That sounds like a lot but it was pretty straightforward in the end. Usage-wise, it's pretty great. I only have a fairly small garden so it's massive overkill but I just love how easy it is now. The garden has not been given the love it deserves from me and, as a result, is really lumpy and uneven and it was becoming a veritable battle with the old hover mower. This thing just breezes through it effortlessly (and doubly so, if I use the self-propelled feature). The handles do stick out pretty far, when locked in place, though so I kind of have to cut from the middle outwards on one side then the other because I don't have a lot of room around the edge of the lawn. The battery, at full-charge, was perfectly fine for my small-ish (maybe medium? I don't know what average lawn size is?) lawn. Summary: I'm coming from a unique position as someone who does not have a giant lawn, who does not have concerns about battery life. I have a small to medium lawn but it was a pain to mow due to lumpy-ness. Now it is effortless. So I'm a happy camper.

We bought this lawnmower just under two years ago and one of the batteries now won’t charge (May 2026). You’ll see in the promotional pictures and on their website if you check that too, that it states a 2 year warranty for batteries. I initially emailed Greenworks directly but had no reply. I emailed them again and still no reply. I then reached out to Amazon - who have been fantastic may I add! The seller kept gaslighting the situation saying that I was out of warranty even when I mentioned it’s literally in the listing for all to see! Amazon eventually sorted the issue. I wouldn’t trust this company anymore and really want to warn others before they purchase it. Yes the lawnmower is good but if they don’t uphold their warranties then we are all throwing our money down the drain! Save yourself the headache and buy from a different brand!

This mower came in a large box because this machine is heavy, probably because the main carriage is steel. Initial set up was easy and within minutes we were ready to go. I just needed to charge the 2 batteries. Charged the batteries in a couple of hours and installed them into the mower and away I went. The self propulsion is a real bonus with the machine being as heavy as a sack of spuds. It cut the grass quite adequately and quickly, one can alter the speed it goes so it will go at your pace. The closeness of cut has 5 settings too. I have a sizeable back lawn and a slightly smaller front and I manage to get two full cuts from each battery charge which is ample for me. I note in other reviews people complain it doesn't have a roller but that's no problem for me, the days of stripy lawns are well gone because I just can't be bothered. Everything about the mower is well thought out and well made with quality parts as far as I can see. It is expensive, but when I look at comparable petrol mowers for a few quid less I realise this battery mower will require minimum servicing and no trips to the petrol station with the petrol can. No spark plug to replace and no messy two stroke oil to worry about. Is it worth the expense? You bet it is!

Ok, so I've had time to use this for a few weeks. I'm Very, very impressed. 180ft garden, probably 65% lawn, some of which goes through NoMowMay, so some areas of much longer grass to cope with un early June. It's easily coped with all the areas, I set the height to the highest for the longest areas, and then down to 4 and the mower coped really well - with 1/3 of the battery power left after 45mins! There are 7 heights, easily changed, and it's MUCH quieter than my old petrol mower, so no competing with next door as to whose got the noisiest mower anymore ... The ability to stand it up for storage also makes a HUGE difference for cleaning it after mowing, for me that's a real bonus, as my heavy petrol one had to be tipped up or sideways to clean, meaning fuel leaked out. One observation, the handle is folded back to store it, which it excellent, and you need to just move the handle about gently while pulling out the small black lugs which lock the handle in place, either in folded or full length positions. I struggled somewhat until I moved the handle a bit when pulling out the lugs, once I did that, they pull out easily, so it's fine now, (they just fix in place quite firmly so need a little encouragement!) Also, I'd suggest putting the mowing height at the highest setting BEFORE storing, as this stops the grass exit guard from catching on the floor when moving the mower in its folded position. The charger does make a noise when in use, but this is a fan keeping the unit cool, not an issue. There is a red safety plug in the battery area, which needs to be IN for the mower to operate, and pulled OUT to prevent operation... It's a little tricky to pull out, (you need a firm grip) so Id suggest the manufacturer makes this plug a little easir to grasp). All in all I'm VERY pleased with it, so much so that I've orded the Greenworks hand held hedge trimmer without the battery, as one of the batteries for the mower is interchangeable, which is a brilliant option. Well done Greenworks, I'm impressed so far 👏

C'est une bonne machine c'est du green Works les pionniers du green. Après une tonte en position haute maximum d'une parcelle de presque 400m2 en près et non en green pour un temps de 40 minutes avec des devers et une pente parfois de 30à 40% la machine c'est arrêtée normal plus de batteries. Donc vous avez le temps de fonctionnement et la surface tondue avec quand même une bonne autonomie sachant que même dans les descentes et surtout les montées j'ai utilisé la traction de la machine ce qui en demande beaucoup plus au niveau consommation d'énergie. En clair je n'ai pas cherché à économisé. Au niveau sonore très acceptable et maniabilité très légère. Ayant affaire à un terrain pas très propre j'ai préférer un carter acier aluminium pour la résistance au niveau de pierres éventuelles ou gros bouts de bois. Je l'ai utilisé sans le bac de ramassage en mode mulching. Je suis jardinier de base et je sais de quoi je parle en tondeuses autoportées auto tractées en thermique et électrique et donc vous savez que quand vous recevez la machine neuve vous avez commandez en parallèle du silicone en bombe pour en revêtir le dessous du carter avant sa première utilisation afin de pouvoir toujours le maintenir propre après la première tonte et celles qui suivent. Voilà je recommande cet outil pour une parcelle n'excédant pas 400m2 pour deux batteries et j'attends au moins une 10aine d'utilisation pour reprendre deux autres batteries pour la tranquillité et surtout de voir l'usure des premières batteries Le ti top c'est son rangement bien pensé pour un gain de place. Aller fermé les yeux et rêver de vous en servir et n'oublié pas tout d'abord d'appuyer sur le bouton de mis en route de porter de bonnes chaussures fermées car étant très maniable et légère elle aura vite fait de passer sur vos pieds ce qui n'es pas le but .

Leicht und leiser als Benziner,akkus aufladen 2 Stück geht in 40 min,das ist schnell,voll geladen kann man 45 min Mähen und auch ab und zu den Radantrieb benutzen,bei hohen Grass gibt der Mäher von selber mehr gas,der Mäher hat richtig kraft und die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und stabil,über den Messer ist ein Lüfterrad damit ist der Luftstrom richtig stark und füllt den Fangkorb richtig voll,Höhenverstellung über ein Hebel geht sehr leicht,46 cm Schnittbreite,weicher Griff zum schieben,Der ist TIP-TOP würde ich wieder kaufen.Radantrieb ist sehr kräftig mit vollen Korb fährt der locker ein Berg hoch und die Fahrgeschwindigkeit ist stufenlos einstellbar das ist auch sehr gut,hätte ich schon früher kaufen sollen,aber jetzt ohne ÖL und Benzin das war mir wichtig.

Sono davvero soddisfatto di questo tagliarba: avevo un tagliaerba Honda a benzina e devo dire non lo rimpiango per niente! Il tagliarba elettrico della Greenworks è molto più leggero, si maneggia meglio, parte subito senza fare inutili sforzi (basta premere l'apposito bottone, tirare la leva di sicurezza e poi rilasciare il bottone), è molto pìù silenzioso, non ci sono olio e benzina da controllare, ha una buona potenza, che è regolabile, ma che il tagliaerba regola anche da solo a seconda dell'erba che trova (la aumenta automaticamente se l'erba è più fitta o più alta), è semovente, quindi basta tirare l'apposita leva e le ruote posteriori diventano motrici, agevolando la spinta del tagliaerba; le batterie hanno una buona durata, se però avete da tagliare un giardino grande, consiglio di prendere altre due batterie di riserva (io ho fatto così). Sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto che ho fatto e lo consiglio senza dubbio.

Om du har för stor gräsmatta räcker inte två batterier, våra batterier räckte 1 timme, vi har jättestor gräsmatta men vi får köpa två extra batterier annars dela upp klippningen på två dagar. Lättstartad och användarvänlig, går ganska fort inte som vanliga självgående. Fungerar fint, ganska högt ljud ändå för att vara batteridriven. Dock slipper man bensinlukten och det relativt höga bullret från en vanlig bensinare.
