ART TransX Two Channel Transformer Isolated Descrete Transistor Preamp, Black (Trans-X)

This preamp is very nice and very clean and I really love the meter that it has and it is very useful and easy to see and even from a little distance. I used this as a yellow jacketed insert into a mixer board after several compressors and one that is gated for some different microphone acoustics by varying the different preamps in that parallel chain that then presented itself because of the connection ports themselves being exposed on the compressors. This allowed for the upfront compressor to have the gate being used and all other gates off such that gate crashing would lasi occur. I found that the configurable low cut filter works and is very useful and also the impedance being configurable with 650 being the best for how I am using some microphones. So those things were more than useful in some sense and it also has a very nice power curve that slows down the cycle just a bit and that's very much appreciated for further creating a nice smoothing effect. It has plenty of gain and also the mic pad feature with how I am using is a must and it works great also. I think this is amongst the numbers 1's of about five choices for a product that can be used as the upfront transformer based insertion yellow jacket for a mixer board. It really works and is a nice product.
