How many months will one gallon of product treat?

For septic tank maintenance, the instructions on the bottle call for 2 ounces of the product to be inserted each week via a toilet or drain. So, since one gallon is 128 ounces,one bottle would last 64 weeks (~ 1 year 3 months) if you follow the instructions. You could add 4 ounces every two weeks or eight ounces once a month, but its probablybest to use it weekly.

How much do you use for each application, and how often do you recommend using the product for a septic tank?

We use 2 - 3 oz once a week But it depends on the size of septic tank and number using system. Older systems may require more.

after I put the 2 oz in the drain or toilet....do I flush with water right after or let it sit?

I would flush the toilet right away because the goal is to get it to your septic system..if putting down drains, I would wait to flush with water because most of the ccls would go to the septic system right away, but the part "stuck" to the sides of the drain would benefit from time go eat away at the gunk/waste
