i love all the books of St Alphons Liguori.. its a meditation where you can read his books and pray ....Im sure this book can create an impact on everyone who want to follow Jesus .. and to walk away from the world.. Although all humans are called to follow Jesus ..may be very less finds this interesting..At the begining of the book there is a mutual promise from the saint that he will pray for me before Jesus St Alphons Liguori pray for us..

Wish I had read this 40 years ago. I would be a better person today. Excellent for those facing a terminal disease, or those who just want to become saints.

The beauty of St Alphonsus' writing is he is so direct that he manages to keep the language simple while delivering the most profound messages. You will treasure this thrilling book, and it is not a difficult read. My other St Alphonsus favourites are The Glories of Mary, and On Prayer, find them both on Amazon, and buy if you can.

Very interesting and important book to remind oneself that we are only passing through down here... Brings home the reality of sin, death, judgement, heaven, hell and purgatory.A must-read for everybody, young and old! Excellent and truly eye-opening!
