This is going be a little bit of a long review so if you are looking for an honest review of this paint and products from this store. I’m going give it right here.I purchased this product for the first time this week. I have been doing paint by numbers about A year and a half. I am not an artist, nor do I know a whole lot about the creative aspect side of custom colors, or paint products as I am still learning.(However, I am 53, and a Hair Color Correction Specialist for 30 years)I was looking for reliable paint and products that actually work, as most of the time, the paint that is sent along with the kits are usually cheap and crummy, and I have wasted way too much money from various companies that continue to give empty promises. Even though I am still learning how to make my own custom colors. I have pretty good knowledge from my background that I am able to teach myself and have fun doing so. I came across this pallet after purchasing the iridescent and metallic bottles of their paint sets, in fact, I did not realize that this pallet was made from the same company as the metallic and iridescent paints that I had just purchased a week prior. (I always put a layer of clear gesso on My canvas before I begin to ensure color vibrancy and the longevity of the paint on the canvas) because the iridescent and metallic set was not only beautiful, but it was so easy to play around with, I decided to give this pallet a try..As I mentioned above, I’m not artist per se, but I have been so happy and excited because It has been so easy and so much fun Learning and mixing and playing with all of these colors, it’s now hard for me to stop. in fact, I purchased the other two pallets today. The pallet that includes the metallic colors and the other I think 56 color pallet. (should be coming in the next couple of days). If you are looking for Paint that actually works and that is not runny or see-through or having to do 10 coats before it covers, look no further, you will not be disappointed. Not only do you get your bank for your buck. You will be more than happy with your purchase. I found these amazing little hard, plastic paint pot and lids, I’m able to pull little bit of color from the jelly packs and squirting just a little bit of whatever I need From the metallic and iridescent colors and it stays nice and fresh.. I am really excited For the rest of my order to come in so I can continue to create. Thank you so much to this company for creating such amazing products. I look forward to being a happy longtime customer. (I’m just getting started, but I wanted to show how beautiful the colors look. I will upload the finished product when I am done.)

This set is very beginner-friendly and comes with a great range of colors. The paint is nicely opaque when used straight from the cups, but it also thins down easily into a watercolor-like wash with a little water. There’s a small learning curve if you’re new to gouache, but it’s very rewarding once you get the hang of it.I also love that once the paint dries, it works well with colored pencils on top for added details, which makes this set feel really versatile. Great quality for the price and a lot of fun to work with. Highly recommend.

I finally caved and got this set of "jelly cups" that I've been seeing everywhere for the past 4ish years. It took me seeing my favorite illustrator using these in her sketches. Tried them out for a few weeks and I am IN LOVE with them. They're meant for beginners and have a student grade quality to them, but the color grade is still really good! I like how thick it is and how opaque paint strokes can be with minimal paint. I looove that it dries matte, which allows me to layer on cleanly and even draw over it with any dry or wet medium WITHOUT it smudging or running. I was surprised and so pleased with how well the paint rewats on the pallette even when fully dry. It doesn't do that weird thinned-out or chunky texture thing acrylics or watercolors do; the way it rewets was very reminiscent of Holbien acryla gouaches! My only complaint is storage which has many solutions as per others' reviews but I'm forgetful at times. Just have a water sprayer nearby, some toothpicks to stir the paint semi-regularly, some parchment to line the lid and you're golden. OH straight up, the brushes SUCK which was expected so I use then for other crafts.

But not my first time using a watercolor based paint, or brushes. I love the assortment of colors for the price. There's a ton of paint in this set. Each little tub is an ounce. It comes with a palette, which is nice, but the way it sits on top of the open cups of paint, is quite messy if you want to store the palette inside the container.A few of the color names don't seem to match the color of the paint. For instance, Purple is clearly pink. I also have a tub of paint named Ponceau, and I can honestly say I have no idea what that means.I was very excited that it came with paint brushes, but after using the brushes....meh. Upon swatching the very first color, Medium Yellow, the white bristles of the brush were instantly stained. No amount of rinsing is getting this color out of the brush. Once I hit the red shades to swatch, the brush is stained a dark brown color.Even though all of that sounds negative, I am enjoying this set of gouache. I feel it's a great set to start out with, and the paint goes on rich, smooth and opaque. The only other thing I can say, is I would pay an extra $10 to $15 for easier to open paint tubs!

The most important thing to remember is this set is only about ~$30. That being said, if you are a beginner or even a not-pro, THIS is the set you want to buy. The colors are wonderfully opaque. When I opened my set, some of the colors such as "nude" and "jade green" were a little dry. That's to be expected in a $30 paint set shipped from China. That being said, the colors VERY EASILY came back to life after adding a couple drops of water and stirring with a toothpick. Even when completely dry on my mixing palette, I was able to add just a little water and stir to make my paint come back to life effortlessly.Unless you are Picasso himself, or making a living off of your art, THIS is the set you want to buy.NOTE/Hack: When I opened the paint pods, I didn't peel off the entire film and instead, used a razor to cut small holes in each pod. The idea is that it will help keep the set cleaner and help retain moisture as the paint set ages. It also helps keep the paint name visible for use. Will probably need to cut the whole film off after a fair bit of use, but I think the film-holes are the best way to promote the longevity of this paint set.

I am so happy with my purchase of this Himi set of 24 gouache paints. It's beautifully packaged and I love the brushes that came along with it.I can always put plastic wrap over the paints and seal with the lid to ensure that the paints stay moist.The colors are vibrant and I can get different pigment with adding water. They work well on watercolor paper and canvas. There is NO Smell at all and they are easy to travel with and store.The price is certainly good ! I recommend that anyone looking for gifts to self or others consider these beauties. Such a beautiful set so much bigger than I imagined. LolAnd don't get me started on how much I love little bird brushes. They Rock !!!

I love the way this paint works! Everything arrived in perfect condition and was well packaged. Some of the containers was hard to open while the others was easy to open up so you may get some paint on you hands when trying to open them. The brushes that come with the set works well and is easy to clean after you are done painting. This was actually my first using gauche paint and I’m glad that I picked this up my painting turned out better than I had hoped. For those worried about if this paint dries out or how fast it will dry out well I opened the paint at the beginning of January and now this is the last week of January and my paint is still wet it hasn’t dried in the container at all just make sure that the lid is tightly closed. If it doesn’t close please make sure you move some of the paint pans around and it will close tightly. My paint doesn’t have a smell to it what’s so ever and it mixes well together. And if you are wondering I did use another set of paint brushes along with the ones that are included with the set. I think this paint is great for any skill set from beginners to professional I say just play around with it. Create from your imagination or follow a tutorial anyway it goes the more you practice the more you will become better. I painted this on one of those canvas boards next I’m thinking about seeing how it will work on watercolor paper.

I still use these colors and they are wonderful! Light fastness is also great.

インスタでこの絵の具を使ってる方が結構居らっしゃって、気になって購入。惚れました。リピ買いもストック買いもしたいくらいお気に入り！！開ける時、開けにくい角と開けやすい角があるので中々開けにくい場合は他の角から開けてみてください。少々特有な匂いがしますが、「無理！」って程強い悪臭ではないのでお気に入りのアロマでも焚いて誤魔化しましょう。

Love the set, did a quick painting with it but I guess gouache is not for me. Colours are very vibrant when opaque. Paintbrushes provided are great as well as the palette. My box came with a rather large crack on it but it's not really that noticeable as it's in the middle of the paint. Not sure how that happened given it was wrapped quite rightly with layers of bubble wrap that took ages to get off.

I have been wanting to try gouache for quite some time now, and I finally decided to try it.The colours were vibrant, opaque, and full of pigment. To my surprise the paints did not smell very much, if at all (so I would ignore the reviews that complain about the smell). The lid closed very tight but the paints did dry a little bit, so I spray down the paints with water every time I finish using the paints. The brushes were also very nice and so was the palette. I really liked how in the paint brush compartment there is extra space for some of my other brushes to fit into. The set is much bigger and heavier than I thought it would be, I can tell that it will last me for a while.Overall I'm very happy with the product and I highly suggest you get it!
