Everyone's tastebuds are different and we recommend trying the bar out to see for yourself. In general, the bar's texture should be chewy and whatever flavor you're eating should taste like that flavor! My favorites--Peanut Butter & Berries because it tastes like a PB&J and Coconut Chocolate. :)

I did some research for you on dates. It may help you and it is much more information than you asked for...maybe this will help you decide if you want to eat these bars. 
There are a variety of dates. Not sure which one they use in this. However when I looked up information on line I found this:
Dates are high in natural sugar, so many people think they may not be good for them. However, these sweet fruits are packed with plenty of nutrients, making them an excellent snack in moderation. Deglet Noor dates are one of the most common types of dates that people can find in the supermarket.

I am not a fan of these bars because I prefer something with chocolate. I will not eat anything with artificial sweeteners because anything with artificial sweeteners is much too sweet for me.
