Great Coffee at a Great Price
After drinking Costa Rican Peaberry coffee that was given to us as a gift and drinking Community Coffee Cafe Special for years and watching the price rise and rise, I decided to search for Costa Rican Peaberry coffee here on Amazon. I didn't find any Costa Rican Peaberry, but came across this Tanzanian Peaberry. I read the reviews and decided that for the price, it was worth giving it a chance. It isn't as strong as the Costa Rican Peaberry, but with the addition of a bit more (probably as much as I usually put with my Community Coffee) it should be to the strength that I like it. Other than that one little issue, it has a yummy flavor!! I will definitely purchase this coffee again and again!!

Good coffee. Good value.
Coffee Bean Direct is a good choice if you are a coffee geek and really care about your coffee, or if you just want to be sure you are getting a good quality product. Far beyond grocery store coffee. They have a wide assortment of coffees from all over the world, including free trade. They only roast what is needed every day which means you are getting a fresh product. My neighbor is in the coffee business. He says unroasted beans keep their flavor for quite a while. Once they are roasted the flavor begins to deteriorate, and ground coffee looses its flavor pretty quickly. So I buy the beans and grind what I need every day. Tastes great!

Tanzanian Peaberry
Best tasting Tanzanian Peaberry. Smooth and rich.

Disappointed
I'm always looking for a good, true, light roast coffee. Most are over-roasted and are closer to a medium. Unfortunately, that is the case with this Tanzanian Peaberry. I like peaberry coffees, but this one has burnt overtones, and that charcoal-like after taste I often find in over-roasted coffees. Color alone showed me it's a much darker roast. On the plus side, the initial flavor is pleasant with low acidity, and this would have been a great coffee if done as a proper light roast.

Its a little green flavored for me, and prefer their ethiopian but was still really good.
