Keeps produce fresh
Works well to keep gassing off in check from certain fruits like apples. Use it mostly in the fridge crisper.

Keeps produce fresh for weeks!
I was looking for ways to shop less often but keep my produce fresh for a longer time too. I was throwing so much away after what seemed like a short time. Mushy cucumbers, fruit, peppers, I was throwing away so much I changed to frozen versions of the produce I like to cook with to eliminate the waste. It was not as good. I wish I lived in an area that allowed me to shop several times a week but I don’t. I’m in a very rural area, I work from home so I shop once a week at the most. I found these and did some research, which was solid evidence that the off gassing of the produce was making it spoil too fast. They were inexpensive enough I figured it was worth a try. Of course I bought the 50 pack! They are amazing! I’ve given some to everyone I like! (Notice I didn’t say that I know! lol) I have used double stick tape and our several on the sides of my veg drawer in the fridge. I add one or two to the inside of the lids of my glass containers for fruit. With some experimenting I have also learned that washing and letting produce dry before storing is also key. A swish in water and white vinegar with some salt washes away dirt, mold spores and the occasional bug. I let dry overnight on a clean towel then store with the packets. The longest I’ve gotten from a fast to spoil fruit(strawberries) is 3 weeks!!! Still firm and tasty, not as shiny and fresh looking but no lack of quality for taste. 2 weeks for blueberries, so long for cucumbers that I eat them all before they can go bad. Peppers, lettuces, zucchini too. I have since bought more for my kids to use in their homes and I will never be without. Groceries are too expensive to throw away, now I can buy extra produce when on sale and have it last. Another tip, unrelated- put a big note on the fridge of the fruit and veg you have so you remember to use it! Sounds too simple to be true but I have blueberrie muffins on my counter to prove it!

Ethylene food saver
These things really work. I am addicted to Avocados, and have avo toast for breakfast a lot. I buy them on sale, then put in a bag with a banana and into the cupboard if they are hard, and as soon as they are the right softness, I put them in a plastic bag or box in the fridge with some of these little packets. It stretches out the life for days longer. Works with most of my veg. As a senior, I'm watching my pennies, and this is brilliant for helping fresh fruit and veg last longer in the fridge.

They really work
Makes celery, lettuce, carrots, ..... all produce, last about a week longer, maybe more. What a relief to realize the produce has been in the fridge for a week and when you go to use it is still fine. these things really work, and save a lot of money and veggies over their use period.
