Works well lasts reasonably well but not cheap

I am new to wearing dentures, I have partial on the bottom and full upper set. My Dentist said I did not have much bone so I thought I would need a strong adhesive. Having read some of the reviews on here for Fixodent ultra max hold it seemed it was not very good for partial dentures. So I bought Fixodent profession for my partials and Fixodent ultra max hold for my upper set. To start with I thought the ultra max hold on the upper set was ok with a fairly good hold but is very pricey. As I don' generally leave my home on Sundays, today I thought I would try the Fixodent pro on both my bottom partials and my full upper set. I have to say that using Fixodent pro on my upper set feels a lot more secure then the ultra max hold, and has given me more confidence with my dentures. So from now on I will be buying Fixodent pro at a fraction of the price. I gave 3 stars as fair hold, but far to expensive to warrant 4 or 5 stars

Unfortunately I had to have all of my teeth removed last year, and when my dentures were fitted, the dentist gave me a small sample of Fixodent Professional to use. I found this good, until I started eating, then the hold would subside. I put up with it until I discovered this product! Personally, I find that the hold stays secure for many hours - even after eating! Its a few pounds more expensive that Fixodent Professional, but Max Hold gives me the confidence of a much stronger hold that lasts much longer for me.

This really seems to do the job and fixes well. As long as I put enough on, it lasts 24 hours!

Fixodent Ultra Max Hold is fantastic! I've been using it for a while for fake fangs and other fake teeth for Cosplay and DnD related shenanigans and its brilliant. Not only does it hold up for 8+ hours of constant talking but it also holds through eating! I've been able to eat sandwiches, pork, pizza, cake, doughnuts, and all other kinds of stuff without staining, loosening, or causing pain. You don't need much to get the Fixodent to hold either. If you use more than necessary it does 'smoosh' out and get into your mouth. It will stick to the cracks between your teeth and make them a light pink. Its easy enough to get rid of by wiping, using a flosser, or swishing some water. If it still persists you can brush it out with a damp toothbrush. The taste isn't great, but its not offensive either. Just a momentary unpleasant taste. Texture is bizarre on the tongue, kinda like sticky sand? It feels fine on the gums and teeth, maybe a little tacky before it takes hold. This is well worth the money for my uses, its earned 5 stars!
