What is the maximum sized animal that would fit through the cat flap? My cat is bigger than average.

Do you get an alert when the batteries are running low?

I’m not sure as I’ve not had it long enough yet. There is a battery indicator in the app though.

What do you do for battery management? Is it worth vetting rechargable C batteries?

Batteries tend to last about 6 months. That is an option but you will need extra rechargeable batteries for when they run low. Personally I just order Amazon batteries.

Is the cat flap controlled through the app only?

No you can override it from buttons on the cat flap.
