Why are customers complaining that the item rusts? Stainless Steel should not rust. Is the description wrong?

I have this and mine has gone rusty

When I press the top down to release some hand wash it sticks and doesn't move up and down freely. What can I do?

I suggest to return it to Amazon ASAP - I received my with the clear plastic bottom detached and realised it has a major flaw in product making and design, I.e. the very bottom part is only glued to the rest of the bottle and can detach anytime....the fact yours has a “sticky” pump demonstrates how badly designed and made this product really is - and it costs £16, too! So much for JosephJoseph great style and innovative products!!!

Does this have a non-slip base?

Yes has grey silicon ring stuck on raised plastic. Keep in kitchen, not sure how non slip on porcelain basin.

My mechanism is not attached to the spring tube. Should it be attached or how do I attach it as it currently does not work and doesn’t stay on to top
